Dwayne Jay Daughtry, known as Purpose Life, isn’t just an artist—he’s a walking paradox: a divine soul in human form. A fallen angel with no memory of the skies he came from, stripped of powers but not purpose. Sent back to this world, raw and real, to redeem himself and awaken others through his gifts. Created by something higher—something beyond comprehension—for reasons not even he fully understands.

His energy is rare. It heals, it shakes, it exposes. Some love it instantly. Some can’t handle it. But no one can deny it. He radiates something eternal. Whether it’s music, dance, design, or presence alone—when Purpose steps into a room, something shifts.

Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, he was first known as DJ Purp—a legendary Baltimore Club dancer, producer, and promoter whose performances were both art and explosion. He moved crowds not just with moves but with vibe. A lit presence, unforgettable. But life had its shadows. In 2020, caught in the weight of past choices, Purpose was sentenced to 4 years in prison. He served 3 and walked free on March 28, 2025.

What was meant to break him became his rebirth. Locked behind bars, he discovered the deeper calling: music as a mission, pain as a message, and healing as a gift. He’s not here to just entertain—he’s here to wake people up.

Purpose Life is perfectionist by nature, not ego. Every word, every melody, every move is laced with passion. There’s something divine behind his attention to detail—like he’s trying to rebuild heaven one verse at a time. And still, he walks humble. Meek. Genuine to the bone.
