As Bing and NT saunter through the digitised nerve fields of the Asphalt Plains, this mix plays aloud via Bing’s new helmet. They edge closer to the forlorn shelters of the Simula Era. If those tales of the Yonder Tears are true then this is where the Ancient Children escaped to, beyond what was once the Nazin borders. 

Having only been producing for just over two years, Bing has already released two EPs, most recently transmitted by Intercept. This selection of music is entirely unreleased Bing, created before discovering NT.

Guava is a producer and guitarist from the UK, now based in Berlin. With releases on 3024, Tread Records, Rhythm Section, Control Freak Recordings... he has been sharing his unique style through productions for years and now also with a guitar-based live set. Made of warm basslines, dreamy pads, sharp drums and lots of ear candy, "Stratospheric Pressure" is signature of this style and an ode to flying and planes, one of his passions.

Qant ( @qqantt ) served me up some eyes down, impeccably produced bass heavy slices of pie and I was gobbling them down before you could say extra mozzarella.

Big beats, big bass and enough bleep bloops to set up a satellite business.

As someone who lives outside of "the scene", my influences come from all over. From Sasha & Digweed's harmonic approach to DJing in the late 90s, to Seba & Paradox's fierce drum break chopping. The idea of this mix is to bring them all together and connect them in a meaningful way, whether it's Nathan Micay's euphoric 2 step beat, MIRIN DOJA's super cute Teedra Moses edit, or even a 2002 prog trance cut by James Holden. I also picked some tracks by my friends from CloudCore and Naive, as an emotional bond always makes the mix hit harder <3. 
I hope all these tunes feel exciting to you as they do to me.

Labour of Love 008 - chuan

@stonestaro returns to Scuffed Recordings with three new UK-tinged club tracks, backed by a remix from @tim-reaper.

The trajectory of Kyoto-based Stones Taro and Scuffed Recordings have been intertwined since their earliest days, with Taro releasing one of the first EPs on Scuffed back in 2017 and releasing regularly with Ian DPM and Wager's label ever since.

Since then, his tracks have been supported by the likes of Ben UFO, DJ Q, Jamz Supernova, Conducta and Soichi Terada, with releases on Time Is Now, Kouncil Cuts, and his own co-run label NC4K.

The producer, DJ and label owner has always worn his UK dance music influences proudly on his sleeve, and his latest outing on the Ton Tan EP continues in much the same vein, with three new originals incorporating breakbeat house, UK funky-influenced percussion, and proto-dubstep wobbles.

Closing out the release is Tim Reaper, one of the vanguard of the jungle revival, on the remix for the EP’s title track - an all-out assault of hoovers and upfront breaks.
