Earning the titles of both Zoomer and Grandma, Kathy brilliantly meshes both roles as she is creator and host of the popular podcast and radio show Go-To-Grandma that airs on the Zoomer Radio Network. Older & Bolder Ep 8: Grateful Grandma With Kathy Buckworth

Bernadine and her husband Toby experienced a parent's worst nightmare on a fateful journey to Nipawin, Saskatchewan. They were on their way to support their son Logan, a player for the Humboldt Broncos, when they encountered the aftermath of a catastrophic bus crash. This tragedy claimed 16 lives, injured 13 others, and left countless hearts broken.

In the midst of their profound grief, Bernadine and Toby made a decision that would forever change the course of many lives. They chose to donate Logan's organs, sparking a nationwide movement of hope and healing known as "The Logan Boulet Effect." This episode delves into the emotional journey of a mother's undying love for her son, the pain of loss, and the enduring impact of Logan's legacy.

Older And Bolder Season 2 Episode 14: The Logan Boulet Effect with Bernadine Boulet

Join Debbie McCulloch on "Older and Bolder" for an inspiring and heartwarming conversation with Beulah Cooper. In this episode, Beulah shares her poignant memories of September 11, 2001, when she was actively involved in aiding her community in Gander, Newfoundland, a role she had been dedicated to for many years. Experience the moving story of 7,000 air passengers, who, while flying across the Atlantic, were unexpectedly welcomed into this small town by the open-hearted residents of Gander, including Beulah.

Beulah recounts with Debbie how she selflessly provided shelter, transportation, and comfort to these strangers, demonstrating the true spirit of community and kindness. The episode takes an exciting turn as Beulah expresses her amazement and joy upon learning that a successful musical play, “Come From Away,” was created, featuring her as one of the main characters. This play highlights the heartening stories of the passengers and the overwhelming generosity they received from Beulah and other Gander locals during their unexpected five-day stay.
