Welcome to another episode of Techno Tiger's Finest!

This TTF edition was recorded on the birthday party of Peasy Kay where our Female DJ group of the Pioneer Pro DJ School was invited to play sets in our own genre. My chosen spot was in the darkest hours of the night, right after some tasty stellar trancy remixes of dance classics (what you still can hear a bit of in the transfer to my set) and before the last tech house set of the night.

Techno Tiger's Finest - TTF for short - is your monthly podcast with a selection of the best Techno tracks found by a little Techno Tiger while digitally crate digging on the interwebs in obscure locations. 
Expect a track selection of those gems that are the most memorable classics, the dark, hefty bangers and the undiscovered tracks in the underground Techno range that will pump up the energy and volume.

Debra Stax adds a special blend of energy and emotion to her tunes, drawing influence from the vibrant Dutch and Berlin electronic music scene. Her ability to expertly combine complex layers of rhythms and synths shows off her command of the electronic genre and creates an enthralling soundscape that is sure to get people moving on the dance floor.

47 marks TEN YEARS with its 47th and final release, closing the catalogue at 47047. 

Launched as an event series by Tommy Four Seven in Berlin’s intimate Arena Club in 2014, the 47 parties paved the way to the label we’ve come to know today, inspiring and encouraging a host of interdisciplinary artists along the way. The imprint opened in 2015 with a V/A, and now, ten years later, 47 comes full circle with the release of its last-ever record and compilation. 

As always, the various artist collection reflects the imprint’s long-running ethos of championing underground and upcoming talent. Titled ‘Ten Years’, the record features label debuts from Jin Synth, Casual Treatment, SAMA, Yrsen, and contributions from familiar faces like Pause, Rommek and AgainstMe, to name a few. 

Across the 20-track V/A, each artist delivers precise and sonically rich productions, spanning several palettes. You’ll find a dreamy soundscape punctuated by blips and bleeps from Amotik. Claustrophobic atmospheres and winding rhythms by Innersha. Liquid melodies and maximalist basslines from Ana Rs. Moonlit synths and icy motifs by VSK. Club-driven 4/4 techno with a metallic sheen from ASEC. An emotive take on ambient and techno from Linn Elisabet. A spiralling trip with IDM touches from Nørbak, and more.

‘Ten Years’ mirrors the adventurous attitude of 47, celebrating the artists and sounds who’ve helped to build the label’s solid reputation, leaving an indelible signature on electronic music for years to come. 

The record will be available as a 5 x 12" release, limited to 200 copies. Orders can be made on October 10th via Bandcamp at 10:00 CET.

Ten Years

VARIOUS ARTISTS / TEN YEARS [47047] - PREVIEW

For this next challenge i had to create 2 grooves with a bass line that goes down on one groove and up on the other groove. 

After watching a YouTube video example made by Analog Kitchen and then the text of the assignment, I just freaked out because my brain did not compute what I was reading and my ears could not hear "it" what I needed to hear.
So I took my house groove from the previous assignment to get into it. I added the tips I got with that assignment to the existing groove. Then I went on from there after checking the presets on my SH-01a for an fitting up and down bass groove. I just went in for a jam to listen carefully if I had understood the assignment correctly.

This is my jam with the bassline upwards. BPM is 130, gear used is TR-6S and SH-01a.
