Inspired by the great guitar bands of the last 20 years, Wild Oceans are an alt rock band comprised of some of the strongest musical talent in the South West – Jon Burnell (vocals and guitar), Mark Lee (bass and keys), Phil Thomas (lead guitar) and Steve Fuller (drums).
Having toured extensively across the UK, Europe and US – opening for a range of bands and performing at various UK festivals as part of different outfits – this isn’t a comeback; it’s a reinvention.
The members of Wild Oceans earned their stripes in alternative projects, building their reputations as dynamic performers and songwriters.
Now, they’ve come together as a formation of the very best:
a new band rooted in experience, driven by sound and inspired by the greats.

In a rehearsal room with the amps cranked loud, a collection of demos grew into something undeniable – and Wild Oceans was formed. With guitars at the forefront driving the sound, the band caught the attention of legendary producer John Cornfield (Oasis/Muse/ Supergrass/Stone Roses) who came on board to produce their forthcoming new album at the iconic Sawmills Studios in early 2025.
Embracing the energy of Foo Fighters, intricate guitars of Biffy Clyro, emotive lyrics of Nothing But Thieves and vocal audacity of Queens Of The Stone Age – Wild Oceans have honed a sound that’s gritty, heavy and melodic – blending the essence of their favourite bands.
Their lyrics weave a tapestry of life, love, loss and addiction through big riffs and memorable chorus’. Wild Oceans are heading back out on the road in 2025 in support of this brand new chapter and bold new sound.

The Rooz fly with the unconventional. This young rock n roll band pride themselves on good music and entertainment, performing a variety of melodic rock songs and all out energetic rock n roll. The band is fronted by 19 year old singer songwriter Louis Coupe who appeared on this years The Voice UK on BBC One. The band also includes Ralph Porrett (16) on lead guitar, Tom Russell (18) on drums and Peter Davis (19) on bass, with Louis switching between multiple instruments, mainly piano and guitar. The addition of the piano/organs is a refreshing sound, and adds to the diversity of this band. Crowned the LIVE BAND OF THE YEAR at the Robin 2 in 2013, The Rooz are an exciting young band to watch, always trying to put on a show and entertain their audience, as well as write and record complex, innovative and experimental new rock n roll tunes.
