[debut] is more than a band. It's a music and art collective with an ever-changing cast. Directed by songwriter/ producer Gareth Thomas, [debut] delivers soundscapes that are cinematic and challenging. If you imagine electronica mixed with live rock elements and classical overtones you will be in the right space. The point is, it’s new. It harks back to many diverse influences yet delivers something that you haven’t quite heard before. 

Furthermore, [debut] is an open door to new talent and is constantly seeking to collaborate with musicians, artists, photographers and filmmakers to complete a unique fan experience.

GRAU creates intelligent, sophisticated electronic music in Berlin, Germany. Far removed from the ordinary and always searching for new sounds, GRAU is neither black nor white. Accordingly, the live duo from Berlin describes their music as something between electro pop and house; between melodic and driving; between straightforward and diverse, but always fluid and expertly crafted.

ANNER’s enchanting, breathy vocals – sung in her mother tongue of German – effortlessly float over SlikNik’s dark atmospheres. Rather than clashing, these seemingly-opposed elements melt into a harmo- nious, perfectly balanced sonic yin and yang. SlikNik and ANNER, the two artists behind the project, are no newcomers to music.

The Vienna-born Niko Stoessl was already a gold-, platinum- and double-platinum-selling producer in his early career in Austria and has contributed as producer and musician to projects with Dave Gahan/Depeche Mode, Crystal Castles, Moto Boy, Patrice and Nihils. As SlikNik he has been involved in remixes for Autist, IAMX, SDP, and Broad Bean Band.

ANNER (born Anna Lanfer) isn’t just the voice of GRAU, but is also
responsible for the duet’s poetic, heartfelt lyrics. The roots of her sin-
ging come from the jazz and blues she grew up on in her hometown
of Oldenburg, Germany. As a singer/songwriter she then took a de-
tour into pop music. What followed was her own live band, numerous appearances as a background singer and a contract as a studio singer before her passion for electronic music took hold. Since then, she has performed her minimal- house-influenced blend of genres under the moniker DJ ANNER and has collaborated with artists from the Berlin techno scene such as Fuchsberg/Symbiont-Music.

My Satellite throws a wall of sound at you that picks you up and moves you. Vocal harmonies and vast instrumentation create a thick sound that is fresh and unique.

Singer/Songwriter/Producer James Cook made 3 albums between 2004/2008 with pioneering London electro guitar band NEMO. He then moved to Berlin and made The Dollhouse' (2010), a chamber pop album with violinist/arranger Anne-Marie Kirby. (Nb. 2025 Dollhouse II is released)
In 2012, he released his debut solo album 'Arts and Sciences'. An instant pop classic featuring strings, synths and guitars and James unique voice and songwriting. In 2013/2021, he released the covers albums 'Reverse Engineering, Vol One/Two'. His second solo album 'Adventures in Ausland' was released in November 2014, with a more ambitious 8 piece ensemble. 2016's ANTI LOVE SONGS saw James return to a more aggressive/guitar/synth sound. 2020 was the year for THE NEW NORMAL, his 9th studio album. A dreamier more electronic affair. After releasing 2 vinyl compilations in 2023 (JAMES NEMO/JAMES COOK vol one), James releases a darker, more experimental indie guitar album (his 5th solo full length), INSIDE OUT in September 2024.
