Phase Radio is back and it couldn't be in a better way!

We are premiering a new series of mixes. In "Phase Invites" all the influences of the team that makes up phase will come together. For this first invitation we have Emilia Grima as a guest. Set made to three decks with an impeccable selection that pivots between influences of bass, IDM or jungle. Sounds and textures that send you to another dimension. A pleasure to be back with such a great selector!

"I created this mix as a sonic experimentation in a global reflection around my perception of the fall's concept. Fall's feelings, energies, steps and mechanisms, fall as a movement, fall as a body and object, fall as an emotion, fall as a color. The dynamic is on purpose minimalist, synesthetic and organic, yet with an accent on sharpens textures, hypnotics rhythms and outer black atmospheres. The result is leading the senses through the questioning of existing structures and realities."

Parisian @troisquartstaxisystem is both a DJ and live performer, co-founder of @hardlovemotorlove label and @delajelespere collective. His selections and productions include a unique mix of dark soundscapes and psychedelic atmospheres, carefully shaped into a sort of sensorial techno experience. Currently studying electroacoustic composition and sound design, Eloi crafts complex rhythms over hypnotic melodies, resulting in a seamless blend of organic textures.

Decadance #053 | 3/4 Taxi System

Seán is a Melbourne based dj and a member of the mix and events series Manifestation. 

In his sets Seán tries to hone in on a narrative, often underpinned by organic, glitchy productions intertwined with stripped back, unstable rhythms.

The narrative for Nebuleuse was inspired by the modern day fable “The Mysteries” by Bill Watterson. It begins with bleak and mysterious soundscape, broken by an ethereal realisation. The pace of the mix hurtles forwards from here, despite warnings, starting bright and hopeful before mutating towards a forewarned dark finish.

Bending the limits between club music, sound design and concrete abstractions, Trois-Quarts Taxi system serves a four chapter mix, taking us deeper and further in between the reality planes. Dance music and story telling merged as one. Organic oddities filling the space of the inner self. 

I take great pleasure in hosting him in this series, as his very unique sound palette and blend of grooves has fascinated and inspired deeply me over the last year.

metic. is a light and space artist based in Sheffield, UK, who is emulating nature's beauty, integrity and healing qualities through the medium of art and music.

He has an affinity with the ethereal qualities of our world which he communicates through his work and he intends to highlight an appreciation for the experience of “beauty”, which he believes is a powerful and euphoric, emotional state that can be created and recognised. The contexts that his work creates can allow people to enter ambiguous and contemplative states of mind that create space for observation, can nurture wellbeing and provide a long-lasting and inspiring impression.

These interests and intentions innately draw him to intergalactic, nature-based and texturally driven sounds which this faultlines mix highlights his appreciation for in a fast paced and dynamic manner.

Setting off from Earth, this complex and hypnotic mix gradually takes the audience into outer space, where the ethereal plane materialises:

A colourful, mist-filled dimension energised by organic textures, meticulous sound design and deep and reflective soundscapes.
