The 2015 album tells a story of our future with climate change, starting at the NYC People's Climate March in 2014. Subsequent releases contribute to this story, at different parts of the timeline.

We channel the sentiments of apocalypse as our skies are painted orange by wildfire.

We dabble in the digital world, and how we might break free from it's trappings.

We travel back in time to warn ourselves about climate change, and find President Trump.

We take on the Titans of industry and government, and call out their character and potential.

We sing a song to our grandchildren.

The Story of Decades After Paris

Earth Day gift to our fans, friends, and family! 

In the lead up to the COP21 climate talks, Danton and Heather Reflect on the significance of this event in the context of world history, and their part in it. 

The song has a relaxed groove, delivering the irony that citizens casually go about daily life while history is made. They invite the listener to look past media glamorization to understand this potentially pivotal moment.

This song is being pre-released in anticipation of the full "Decades After Paris" album, due later this summer.

In 2025, active citizens and shareholders are demanding that the climate crisis be addressed by governments and business worldwide. It’s not so easy though: in a world with climate change impacts and a society so heavily defined by extreme capitalism, the shift is impacting everyone.

Agua es Vida

This foreboding song was written on the west coast as the artists endured the haze of the worst wildfire season the Province of British Columbia has experienced (2017).

From the singer's perspective, a life disrupted by smoke touches a basic element of life and song: breathing. 

From a distance, through social media, the pain at the fires edge becomes real. Her network, her colleagues, her community are touched by the tragedy and the victories occurring in this warming world.

Closer to home, she reflects on the news of a melting Antarctica, and the plight of coastal communities like hers as sea levels rise. 

The dramatic fire painted sky becomes a symbol of the collective challenge of climate change. 

Pink horses were a literal occurrence in the artists' home province set aflame, and conjure a visualization akin to humanity's revelation in the bible.

Inspired by the reflective story telling of Johnny Cash, a driving western guitar and longing string bass adorn images of our future with climate change and our plight to connect with each other.

A troubled time traveler from a terrible future is trying to warn us before it's too late to change. Wrought with sorrow and guilt, the messenger exposes their sense of futility, oscillating between apology and accusation. 

"Trouble" invites the listener to feel vulnerable and to empathize with the messenger, who suffers from their own humanity and systemic injustice.

Quarreling lovers? Oppressed justice seekers? A scientist without hope? The story transcends identity.

The instrumentation is as cool as the concept, with beautiful horn lines, cool syncopated vocals, ripping guitar, and a grooviest of rhythm sections.

Trouble

A funky, catchy, and sustainability themed album with a climate outreach agenda. The subject matter is resonant, and so is the music.

The album takes the listener on a journey. Starting from the Peoples Climate March in NYC, the listener embarks to Paris in December of 2015 to witness world leaders make decisions on global carbon emissions, and the general fate of humanity. From there, the story travels decades into the future outlining possible scenarios our generation will encounter.  

The subject matter is real, raw, and resonant; and so is the music. Upbeat, the music allows the listener to feel the intensity of the situation.
