To kick off the label’s second release of the year Decay Records welcome Ibiza resident Alice Clark into the fold with two-stripped back cuts featuring remixes by Romanian master Mihai Popoviciu and rising star James Dexter. 
Derived from her influences of the Romanian sub-genre Alice Clark has developed her own unique take on deep dubby, groove driven micro-house entwined with the drive and subtitles of minimal tech. Alice learnt about rhythm and melody from a young age mastering the piano, guitar, drums and the sax. “I guess it was a natural progression when I started DJing, they both went hand in hand” she recalls. Today Alice is a fast-rising international DJ known for working the dancefloor wherever she plays. She divides her time between summer in Ibiza and touring globally in the winter months from San Diego to Sheffield, Miami to Munich, and New York to Naumberg. Her talent has been recognised by tastemakers at BBC Radio 1 and DJ Mag, and her music supported by the likes of Mihai Popoviciu, David Gtronic, Markus Homm, Ray Okpara to name but a few. Naturally, Alice is looking forward to returning to the White Isle for what will undoubtedly be her best season yet. 
Her latest EP kicks off with the title track ‘Rocket’; a hypnotic cut with vocal murmurs, rolling tech-house grooves and her trademark dance floor focused breakdown. On the flip is ‘Egotist’ tipped with prominent hi-hats over detuned cowbells and mesmerising chord stabs. Cyclic boss Mihai Popoviciu steps up to rework ‘Rocket’ dismantling the original composition and taking it into deeper territories with his own percussion and subtle swelling atmospheres. Rising star James Dexter provides the remix of ‘Egotist’ reshaping Alice’s stabs into dynamic dub-techno chord sequences.
