What's up SoundCloud?! My name is Alex Nieves but my peers call me MC LexXx. I'm an underground rapper/singer, living on my own, and making music as a means of keeping my sanity. Really on the edge sumtimes peoplez....moving on, I was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and I grew up in "Silk City" Paterson, NJ. Life wasnt always peaches n cream but music was one thing I could always depend on to make it sweet. I'll listen to pretty much any type of music, depending on my feeling at the time and if the music is genuine. Thats one thing I love about SC, there's alot of artists here doing their thing and striving for perfection. Giving artists an outlet and bringing it all together, It's a beautiful thing, gotta love it. I record with bare minimum equipment and have a highly pressurized hectic life to keep me hot on my toes but I'm always down to collab if the music is on point. What I want most out of this career is making music people will love as much as we love making this music.

It's a Star Wars type concept mixtape involving a master MC traveling through the musical universe. Chief Rocka has been Intrigued with music since he experienced his first breakbeat record,Walt Disney's Mouseke Dances and other favorites.The album intro was his favorite part of the whole record.His Aunt would yell about he kept repeating the one part over and over and how he was going to break the needle.
He then went on to discover the music genre of Rap.The first vinyl he owned was 
The Fat Boys " In jail" his second was Public Enemy was "Yo Bumrush the Show" His music influences became vast with artist like RUN-DMC /BDP to EPMD ATCQ to NWA.From a young age has seen the genre of Hip-Hop/Rap go through it phases through at least 25 of its  41 year history. In the mid 80's to mid 90's he tuned in and recorded on cassette tape 98.7Kiss

In the mid 90's was when is when he really delved into his craft and formed 
the Hip Hop Group Down N Dirty Tribe.This was when he was dubbed with Big Chief, which he has carried with him through several groups.
Now as a solo artist he is known as Chief Rocka,and with that his life experiences and story are ready to be told .
