We Are 'Decent'

Decent is a five-piece OPM indie band based in Calamba, Laguna, consisting of five very ‘decent’ musicians: Aeschylus Giuseppe Cezar on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Joseph Gavin Garcera on drums, John Louis Flores on bass, and lastly, Matthew Rovedillo and Isaiah Marcus De Guzman on lead guitars.

Their music explores themes of memory, longing, emotional detachment, and hope. Switching fluidly between English and Filipino, Decent tells stories that are deeply personal yet widely relatable. From late-night yearning to silent heartbreaks, their lyrics sit in the spaces we don’t always know how to explain — and they stay there, long after the music stops.

Their debut EP, We Are "Decent", released in 2024, introduces their sonic universe: shimmering guitars, ambient textures, and deeply human lyrics. Songs like “(T)SUKI”, “You Left Me…”, and “Hey, Allison!” serve as emotional snapshots — a quiet confession, a last message, a feeling you couldn’t name until the song gave it shape.

Decent is also proudly part of the Bombshelter Collective, a growing creative community in Laguna that nurtures independent voices and underground music culture. Whether playing sweat-soaked shows at Beryo Bar and Restaurant or releasing demos from bedroom setups, Decent isn’t just building songs — they’re building space. A place for feeling too much, for saying too little, for being real.
