Analytics seeks to focus our attention on specific elements that are important to the crisis of mankind. This is my attempt at a type of lyrical research project, in and of itself, that analyzes the data of the sin nature and the God that made us, in order to track our efforts and highlight what His word says or doesn’t say about how we live and move. I have broken the content of the project into 9 chapters, so that one may take the time and digest the fruit of each verse. While there is no arbitrary line within this précis, each song is not intended to be an inductive study of biblical knowledge, but a biblically based colloquial and even anecdotal account of ideas that I believe can aid a person in everyday living and that will point them to truths about Jesus. For my ideas of basic foundational thought, please refer to my previous album, “REP” and also look forward to my “PRESENT” project, also forthcoming. Lastly, I encourage those who listen to this project to ask questions, to take your time and soak the concepts. Each chapter will be released on a monthly basis, so that you can have time to think and to analyze. My hope is that you are encouraged by Analytics and see God as Glorious. Decipha describes a life full of meaningless endeavors. One centered on getting plenty of any and everything he/she wants. Thereby, in the end, only to find out that it was not worth anything at all. 

What matters to man, what makes us happy, what sparks our interest, what peaks our joy...that is where you will find you treasure, that is where you will discover your true worship.

Originally from Germany and the east coast (Virginia Maryland and DC area), Decipha grew up in a house full of musicians. He had a brother that produced music, a sister that heavily involved herself in theater and dance, and a mother who, although retired from the United States Army band, still sang in church and taught her children how to perform on stage. At eleven years old, Decipha had the privilege of experiencing a live performance from Philadelphia’s own historic Christian Hip Hop rap group, The Crossmovement. As they performed on the streets of Barry Farms, D.C., it was there that Decipha began to develop a love for the Hip Hop Culture. It was also there, that the Lord began to lead Decipha on a life long journey to uncover truths about the scripture and to also aid in reconciling man back to their creator.

Today, Decipha resides on the west side of Chicago, in the North Lawndale Community with his wife, where they are heavily involved in urban ministry through their church (Legacy Fellowship Church) and other para-church organizations. Using his gifts, Decipha seeks to grow in his understanding of the Gospel, to create music that edifies and challenges people, and to promote Christ through the arts. His goal is to create a philosophical perspective through Hip Hop that confronts the ideology and worldview of a postmodern age. Decipha does not necessarily seek to write crafty punchlines, or cunning lyrics, but to create conversation and thoughtful discourse for a his listeners, who can, at the same time, enjoy the variety of styles that Decipha displays within his music. In 2010, Decipha released his first album entitled REP, and is gearing up to release his second LP entitled PRESENT. The titles of both albums formulate to what describes Decipha’s platform and mission of life: REP and PRESENT, together standing for “one who REPRESENTS Christ in all areas of life.” Decipha loves his wife and his Lord, and desires to display the Gospel in a palatable way for men and women to recognize the greatness of the True God and the Son whom He has sent.
