The 43rd release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital sees the return of Dutch phenomenon Roger Martinez.  His previous release titled 'Acid Culture' with Mike Griego has been a highlight in the label's discography.  His new EP is a tremendous follow-up and the kind of quality you would expect from such an exceptionally talented producer. 

Roger approaches dance music from an emotional perspective that goes beyond genres and formats.  In his own words, "Music must contain mystery, harmony, and melody.  These elements are the key to human emotions and feelings."  This vision lies at the basis of Roger's quick rise to the forefront of the dance scene.  Although he keeps his musical crosshairs aimed at the full musical spectrum, he has gained support and respect from a wide scope of DJ's including Hernan Cattaneo, Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Fedde Le Grand, Stephan Bodzin, Laurent Garnier, Guy J, and many more. 

The package begins with 'That Vibe', a dark and chugging Techno track that hooks the listener in with its hypnotizing bassline.  On the complete opposite end of the spectrum is 'Santoor', a blissful and positive tune clearly inspired by the golden era of Progressive House.  The two productions provide the perfect yin and yang and showcase Roger's enormous range and diverse palette of sounds. 

The sole remix is provided by D-Formation & Rick Pier O'Neil.  These two friends hail from Spain and France respectively and their recent successful collaborations on Toolroom and Stereo Productions have been turning heads in the industry. 

With over 25 years in the industry, Dimas Carbajo aka D-Formation is one of the most respected electronic music artists across the world.  Proof of that is his album 'Madrid' for Deep Dish's Yoshitoshi and enormous back catalog on Sony Music, Virgin, EMI, Toolroom, Cr2 Records, Stereo Productions, and many more.  Numerous prizes as a DJ and producer vouch for all the years of hard work in his profession.  It's also noteworthy to recognize his #39 position in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJ's (2006), the highest ranking that a Spanish DJ has ever achieved. 

Rick Pier O'Neil started as a DJ in a French club when he was 14.  He became a sound engineer and created his first studio at 16.  With the emerging House music movement, he was soon working with major labels Sony Music, Universal, Motown, and Polygram as a remixer for Kool & the Gang, Stevie Wonder, Donna Summer, Lenny Kravitz, Ultra Nate, and CeCe Peniston.  He launched his own imprints Garbage Records in 2004 and RPO Records in 2005, focusing on the dark Progressive and Tribal House that was popular at the time.  After experiencing much success in both mainstream and underground arenas of dance music, Rick left France, moved to Barcelona, and eventually settled in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.  He has produced over 500 titles up to now under various aliases and his passion for music has fueled a career that has lasted over 30 years.  More recently, he was named the winner of Darin Epsilon & Cid Inc's Beatport remix contest for 'Outliers' alongside Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic.

Binaryh bounces back to Steyoyoke Black with two original productions under the 'Boolean Logic'. This EP is a mirror image of the necessity to find right and wrong without considering the paths which brought us to our conclusions.

'Algorithm' sets the tone for the EP with a tantalizing, haunting melody. The algorithm behind 'Algorithm' can be deduced through noting the simplistic, yet powerful, manner of arrangement, coupled with the art of storytelling brought forth by Binaryh.

'Parallels' can be heard as a reflection of our environment's innate reasoning behind similar behavioural patterns with opposing views. Parallels, contrastingly so, find ways to operate with respect to reacting to the other. The contrast of the deep bass lines with the sharp, piercing synthetic sounds showcase a human's unfathomable desire to be different, yet accepted.

Binaryh has conveyed his artistic talents through two all-encompassing tracks to create this 'Boolean Logic' EP, telling an important story of history, logic, maths, and philosophy along the way.

Germany’s multitasking maestro Martin Eyerer, has (for more than 25 years) criss-crossed the globe as a highly respected DJ, whilst as a Producer he’s amassed a catalogue of more than 150 releases on the world’s most respected labels. His excellent ‘Frequencies’ collaboration with fellow countryman Patrick Chardronnet was an unmistakable highlight on John Digweed’s recent namesake 3xCD compilation. Now, Martin Eyerer returns, flying solo this time with a stunning Bedrock double-header. 

‘The Lake’ is an immediately infectious delight, as Martin steadily adds subtle layers of percussion to create a glorious, hypnotic, hip-swinging groove, before dropping everything back and introducing striking melodic stabs. Nothing is rushed, nothing is overdone, everything is perfectly arranged - the mark of a master producer at work. The creation of yet another irresistible groove by Martin, with a distinctive playful swing based around an evolving percussive masterclass, sees his second track ‘Rethink’ bounce sparsely underneath catchy synth motifs in supremely confident style.

As a pioneer producer, Martin Eyerer has evolved with the times, believing that being an artist means existing in a permanent state of change, development and evolution. This is clearly evident through his various Bedrock excursions and those on his own much respected Kling Klong label (founded in 2005 with partner Rainer Weichhold). 

After moving from Stuttgart to Berlin in 2012 Martin (along with Jade Souaid and Tassilo Ippenberger) also opened the Riverside Studios – a burgeoning hub of creativity that is home to many of the city’s finest talents. As an expert mixing and mastering engineer, he also relocated his own studio here and installed his restored (and legendary) Amek M 3000 Console that was formerly owned by Pink Floyd in the 70’s. It’s no wonder that he has become not only a legend in his own right, but also a producer that the worlds best artists are always keen to work alongside.
