when we were young

A re-orchestrated version of the soundtrack from 2000 Nintendo 64 game Battlezone: Rise of the Black Dogs, originally composed by Matthew "4mat" Simmonds and recreated by Anthony "Ded10c" Hadley.

The aim of this project is not to produce a modern, up-to-date recreation of the game's original soundtrack, but rather one that meshes well with the soundtracks of the earlier games "Battlezone" and "Battlezone: The Red Odyssey". As PC games these were not affected by the cartridge size issues of the Nintendo 64 and therefore have soundtracks of much higher fidelity, while still retaining that very distinct late-90s video game soundtrack feel. That is what these tracks exist to capture.
