On Sunset Cliffs in sandy caves

Listen to it coo like morning dove
Feel it embrace your soul like a glove
And rise to the ether
We rise above
Ocean Beach tell me its true

It’s this love of life that binds us like glue
In a paradise lost in a city down south
At the San Diego river poised upon the mouth
Where egrets and osprey play all day
Where doggies can wag their woes away
So I thank my Mom and Dad
Who helped put me upon the map
To Tony Panza who helped me find my way back
To a utopian vision that’s just a little wack
So Ocean Beach embrace me once more
You just might have to pick me up off the floor
If I could find a way to step through the door
Where our hearts run free
Our souls can climb the tree
Of life
And love

For the past decade, The Vindys have captivated audiences with their signature blend of rock, soul, and pop. Hailing from Youngstown, Ohio, the band has built a devoted following through electrifying live performances and heartfelt songwriting.

That girl can sing her ass off.” She is backed by an exceptional lineup, with John Anthony on lead guitar, Rick Deak on rhythm guitar, Owen Davis on drums, Brendan Burke on bass, and Nathan Anthony on keys. The Vindys have been making waves nationally, lighting up major festival stages and opening for legends like Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, ZZ Top, Marcus King, Beth Hart, and Ann Wilson.

Their anthemic track “Are You Ready” was featured in television commercials for ESPN, while their music video for “Bugs” earned an exclusive selection at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.
Critics have taken notice—The Washington Post’s Marc Thiessen raved, “Jackie Popovec is a revelation… By the end, they were delivering a raucous standing ovation. See. This. Band.” (The 10 Best Concerts I Saw in 2024). They were also named Cleveland Magazine’s 2023 Editor’s Pick for “Best Indie Rock Band.”

Jyoti B.Fly, a 19-year DJ veteran, radio host of the legendary world music show Wo'Pop at KEXP, and resident DJ at Caravan Seattle, is all about advocating for creative freedom as the fuel for social change. With a passion for global sounds including house, breaks, and funk, she crafts journeys within the realms of electronic dance music and beyond.  Within her communities, she advocates for systems change by bridging cultures and fostering authentic self-expression, using music, creativity, and art.
