I've always been a fan of the beats and drum patterns that come out of the multi-faceted 'dubstep' genre - this was a take on that, with some classic big-bass sound, but some strings and acoustic stuff thrown in too to keep it balanced. I also spent a fair amount of time on the mixdown, so hopefully that's come across well.
