A deep, emotive, introspective mix that I wasn't sure about uploading to Soundcloud (I want to keep SC for my more dancefloor orientated stuff) but this has proved to be one my my more popular mixes on Mixcloud, and it contains some of the most beautiful tracks I have in my collection, so I wanted to share it and make it available for download.

This is a collection of tracks that feel deeply personal to me for some reason. Some may find it 'sad', but I find these kind of melancholic tracks beautiful and uplifting. Perhaps you will too......

Monday Mixtape Vol.3

So I was going through an old hard drive from eons ago that I only just re-discovered and found a heap of old mixes that I had done in the late 90's/early 2000's. This was one of my faves. I remember mixing this using all vinyl in 1998 and recording it onto a DAT (!!), before getting it sent off to get pressed onto a cd. I think I finally had it ripped onto my computer in around 2003. Ah things were so much more complicated back then! Still, this is one of favourite early chill-out mixes with a real nice, lazy, stoned vibe....

Its a a stinky, steamy hot day in Sydney today, so I decided to make the chillest mix I possibly could to take the sting out of the day, and this is it. The mix never breaks out over 60bpm, so I think it is safe to say that not only is it the chillest mix I've ever made, but also the slowest! If your in need of some sounds to totally wind you down, then I reckon this is the mix for you....

The first part of a live recording of a set down at Bluefish restaurant/bar. This is taken from late afternoon/early evening, so expect some nice downtempo/trip-hop/soulful/funky sounds. Soak It Up Vol. 1

I love ambient. Its been one of my abiding loves since I first really starting delving into 'electronic' music around 1989. I've always wanted to do an 'EPIC' ambient mix... something that just went on and and on and on....something that gave me the time to _really_ put down the tracks and the moods that I wanted. This is the result... the first part of a 6 hour (!) long ambient mix. It was a labour of love...  and yes, it may be a little indulgent....but I'm very happy with the result. This is the first part.... its 3 hours, and its almost totally beatless. The 2nd part features some scratchy lo-fi beats and some glitchy sounds.. but pretty much keeps in the same vein. Lovers of ambient music should find a lot to like here.....
