Featuring the incredible soulful vocals of album collaborator Thaliah, My Friend Is Blue is a classic slice of the forward looking funk Jalapeno is known for. 

Spanish disco don and recent XLR8R fav Rayko is first on the mix drawing out the original into a slo-mo slice of balearic disco that builds and bubbles it way to a tantric climax. 

For the other remix and after a lengthy break, Jalapeno welcomes back B-Boy favourite Soopasoul who turns the original into a breakers anthem with his locked down beats and bass version.

Put together in 2008 for the Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show on BBC 6 Music. Listeners voted on their favourite musicians to make up the Fantasy Funk Band, my task was to cut & paste snippets together from samples making something that sounded like they were all playing at the same time :)

Los Charly's are back with another bomb of Latin-Funk & Boogaloo for all those who like to move to the rhythm of the Latin groove!

Digging far into their Afro Latin Funk influences, London based band - Los Charly's Orchestra has come up with this brand new single: "Al Ritmo Del Latin Funk" (To the Rhythm of the Latin Funk) plus a supa Latin Funk version of the hidden jam "Descarga Cachao" (Cachao's Jam).

If James Brown had ever worked with the Fania crew this is probably what they would have come up with...

The digital release comes with a bonus remix, a kind of Balearic - Chill Out House version of "Descarga Cachao", just the perfect soundtrack for this summer.
