Matush began his professional DJ career in the early 1990s, perfecting his mixing technique on vinyl records. Between 1995 and 1997, he repeatedly won the Polish edition of the international DMC championships, representing Poland at the World DJ Technics Mixing Championships in Rimini in 1996.

His skills were recognized by artists such as Liroy, with whom he collaborated on an album and toured in 1997–1998.

Matush’s sets blend a variety of genres, always centered around electronic music. He has performed in all major clubs across Poland and at renowned festivals such as Creamfields, Audioriver, Electrocity, Sunrise, Base Planet, Parada Wolności, Parada Równości, and Warsaw Fest. Internationally, he has played at prestigious events in cities like Dublin, London, San Antonio (Ibiza), Berlin, and Moscow.

Since 1997, Matush has also been active as a music producer, with over 100 original tracks and remixes to his name. His releases have frequently topped the charts on Beatport and Traxsource, while millions of streams on Spotify highlight their global appeal.

In 2014, Matush founded his own music label, Groove Tom Records, dedicated to showcasing unique electronic sounds.

Matush rozpoczął profesjonalną karierę DJ-a na początku lat 90., doskonaląc technikę miksowania na płytach winylowych. W latach 1995–1997 wielokrotnie wygrywał polską edycję międzynarodowych mistrzostw DMC, reprezentując Polskę na World DJ Technics Mixing Championships w Rimini w 1996 roku.

Jego umiejętności docenił m.in. Liroy, z którym współpracował przy nagrywaniu albumu i podczas trasy koncertowej w latach 1997–1998.

Jego muzyczne sety to mieszanka wielu gatunków, zawsze z elektroniką w roli głównej. Matush wystąpił we wszystkich najważniejszych klubach w Polsce oraz na festiwalach takich jak Creamfields, Audioriver, Electrocity, Sunrise, Base Planet, Parada Wolności, Parada Równości czy Warsaw Fest. W Europie grał na prestiżowych imprezach w Dublinie, Londynie, San Antonio na Ibizie, Berlinie i Moskwie.

Od 1997 roku działa również jako producent muzyczny, z dorobkiem ponad 100 autorskich produkcji i remiksów. Jego nagrania wielokrotnie zajmowały czołowe miejsca na listach Beatport i Traxsource, a milionowe odsłuchy na Spotify potwierdzają ich popularność.

Od 2014 roku Matush prowadzi własny label muzyczny Groove Tom Records, który promuje wyjątkowe brzmienia na scenie muzyki elektronicznej.

From an early age Gary quickly took hold of the concept of Djing and his reputation started to explode throughout the Irish and International club scene.
 Gary has  sampled a vast variety off  Dublin’s and the worlds music and nightclubs industries, with his selected sets consisting of genres ranging and not limiting to , Funky/Deep/Soul and tech house. 

2014 has been a big year for Gary, breaking into the production scene with his first track and ep signing ‘Nothing but your fool’ to the well established swiss label ‘Deeptown music’  featuring remixes from early 90s heavy weights K-Klass and also Lawrence Huskinson (Husky). 
The track reached number two on most downloaded tracks on traxsource for over a week. (Traxsource being one of the most popular download platforms for djs worldwide) which is an outstanding achievement!! From this first release gary is now working with some of the worlds most popular djs collaborating together on future releases. 

His second release , a remix of the huge house track by Roland Clark "I get deep" is due out in late October 2015 on the same label Deeptownrecords, and has already created a massive buzz from its early promo distribution.
Garys preferred genres are Deep/Funky /Tech House. Although his knowledge and love for different styles and genres of music makes him very versatile / and an easily adaptable Dj to a huge variety of different productions and venues. It is in his dedication and creativity that sets Gary apart in this competitive industry.

Harpoon (Ryan Harper) has established himself as one of the rising stars to emerge out of Australia's house music scene. In late 2018, Harpoon shifted gears with his music style and he has been reaping the benefits ever since.
