Menzi Mfeka who goes by 'Menzito' is one of the young Disc Jockers who are passionate and enjoy playing Soulful, Afro and Jazzy House.

This 25 year old was born and grew up in Umlazi, a Township East of South Africa (Durban). He grew up listening to compilations by Dj Fresh, Dj Ganyani, Vinni Da Vinci, Mthi's to mention a few. 

After matriculating in 2007 he was a student in Mangosuthu University of Technology studying Electrical Engineering where he was inspired by the likes of Euphonik, Malunga, Mzirella, Mciteri, Stereo, Kent, Ntukza, Dj Sfiso and Black Coffee to start venturing into DJing.

Menzito started doing mixtapes/ podcasts showcasing his talent which further assisted him into getting slotted in events. He has played in various townships and venues in Durban and neighbouring Areas namely; Umlazi,, Clermont, Marianhill, Ntuzuma, Savanah Park, Mount Moriah, Pietermaritzburg (Ashdown, Mzansi Lounge),Inchanga, Molweni, Eastern Cape, Pretoria, Isipingo Hills, Kwamakhutha, etc.

Menzito started a Podcast Show, Love & Music Sessions (2011) which has gained a huge following and his mixes has been played in QH Radio and in a Local Radio station, Gagasi 99.5.

He always starts by saying ‘I’m not a Durban Dj/producer but I am from Durban and I’m a producer/Dj but I make my music for the World or for the planet earth.

His natural ear for sound ignited his passion at a tender age but then he never realized that there was more to it. 

The ambitious Dr Mtati’s influence of deejaying started in 2007 with a close friend Sicelo Madlala aka Dj Biggy. Since then he has not looked back and has rocked parties in most of Southern Africa sharing stages with top South African and International Dj’s including Ralf Gum, Black Coffe, Ben Moss, Dave Storm, Gregor Salto, Rocco, Oskido, Durban Finest, Glen Lewis, Andy X etc.
He has moved and grooved crowds in nightspots like Afro Fashion Lounge, Delasol, Scalla’s Caffe (Durban), Kopano Lounge, Barumba lounge (uMtata), Barkulcha (East London), House 22 (Pretoria), Le Mix Room (JHB), Café De Flora (Swaziland) & Fashion Lounge (Botswana) etc.

Isigqi saKwaZulu an EP of undeniably spiritually inspiring fine remixes written and arranged by himself and Lihle Ngongoma (NNE-VIDA) opened the doors for the success hungry Dr of Music. The EP was remixed and produced by internationally renowned Producer Clown Dallas of Dynasty Music that has international partnerships in Germany. The EP  was then later signed by Shelter music and it included remixes by the likes of Rancido (one of the hottest talents in Netherlands) & Betasweet.







His dazzling second release that featured the hit “I Can Love you” included remixes done by versatile Channel O resident VJ Andy X.  He then shot his debut masterpiece musical video of the title track in Pietermaritzburg KZN. The video that is professionally and carefully crafted captures the imperial neoclassical architectural heritage of the city and it’s showcased on Channel O.
He's also been featured as a new KZN kid on the block on Club Culture. Exclusive Mzansi Visual mixes and music content related to the dance youth culture. Presented by the hot Duo DJ FreshSA and Euphonik on SABC 1
As an artist and producer, he makes music that rocks the coolest clubs.

Dr Mtati started off his career as a Sound technician and an Assistant video Editor at Clue-Pro Productions before establishing his own dynamic media house, Dedicated Pictures. Since then he has been involved in various multi-media projects ranging from sound, documentaries, TV programs to film.

The doctor of music is now back again with his two singles, ‘No Worries’ featuring the most talented Lihle Ngongoma who is part of the 2010 Pop stars group "Nne-vida”.
The second single is ‘She Said’ featuring Will B, one of the greatest vocalists of our time.
The sound on these two projects proves Dr Mtati has matured and is overflowing with even greater potential.
