The Assignment: Record the same sound with multiple mics; mix the results.

Just playing around, having some fun.
I used four microphones to record a zither. Two were contact microphones, one of which was wedged onto the actual strings.
Apart from that: a small diaphragm condenser mic and a small speaker that I plugged into an input, making it function as a (rather lo fi) microphone. For part of the recording, I rested the speaker on the strings of the zither, making it bounce as I plucked the strings.

recorded drones and noise using a VST synth, along with a recording of some mouth noises into inner ocean 4track to make lil loops. altered speed playback direction and EQ of those loops, and then faded them in and out for the final mix. The master bus had some compression and reverb, and i used soundhack bubbler for a granular delay effect on the master bus.
