Nelayan is a complete artist who has been producing electronic music since 2004.
He started playing HARDCORE/GABBER music in his bedroom at the age of 15 and quickly realized that electronic music was an escape from reality for him.
He discovered techno music in 2006, with influences such as POPOF, CARL COX, and SVEN VÄTH. For years, he performed extensively in Europe under a different name, from Barcelona to Ibiza, via Montpellier and Toulouse, in legendary clubs such as EL ROW (Barcelona), BORA-BORA in Ibiza, and DIEZE in Montpellier.
In 2024, Nelayan launched his solo project with new ambitions. His remix of "ARIA" is played worldwide by SPACE 92, among others, and his track "ANTIDOTE," in collaboration with SONOTIK, is playlisted by ALIGNMENT, NUSHA, and many other artists. The year 2025 promises to be rich in productions and shows for NELAYAN. His single "HANDS UP," released on FURIOUS PROJECT, is playlisted by LILLY PALMER! His track "MUTANTS," released on the Argentinian label INFEKTED RECORDS, is number one on BEATPORT and appears on the best tracks of 2025, ranking number 7 on the PEAK TIME chart. In May 2025, he signed a single on Spartaque's renowned label IAMT Records.
Most of his releases are in the Beatport top 100. Nelayan has signed with one of the best labels of the moment, and the release is scheduled for summer 2025.

Nelayan est un artiste complet qui produit de la musique électronique depuis 2004.
Il a commencé à jouer à 15 ans dans sa chambre de la musique HARDCORE / GABBER et s’est vite rendu compte que la musique électronique était pour lui un échappatoire à la réalité.
Il découvre la musique techno en 2006, avec des influences comme POPOF, CARL COX ou encore SVEN VÄTH. Pendant des années, il se produit beaucoup en Europe sous un autre nom, de Barcelone à Ibiza, en passant par Montpellier ou Toulouse, dans des clubs mythiques comme le EL ROW (Barcelone), le BORA-BORA à Ibiza ou le DIEZE à Montpellier.

Westend has emerged as one of house music's most promising artists. The New York native's ever-expanding sonic footprint was instrumental in drafting the blueprint for the sound of modern tech house and helped usher in an era that has seen American artists once again push to the forefront of dance music culture.

As a teenager during the blog house era, he fell in love with the sounds of artists like MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots, and Justice. Compelled to replicate those groundbreaking sounds, he dove head first into production classes at the Bronx High School of Science, the alma mater of famed synth engineer Robert Moog. 

His ability to remain on the leading edge while staying true to the roots of house music has created peak dancefloor moments for ravers across the globe and led to releases on esteemed imprints like Repopulate Mars, Insomniac, Armada, and D4 D4NCE. As one of Beatport's top ten best-selling tech house producers, hit records like 2021's "Jumpin'"—with fellow New Yorker CID—have not only spent weeks dominating the top of the charts, they've landed into the crates of MK, Diplo, Lee Foss, John Summit, and Sonny Fodera. 

Each passing year brings breakthrough moments. In 2022 he collaborated with Latin house kingpin, HUGEL, and Cumbiafrica on "Aguila," which sat in the top ten for staggering eight weeks. In 2023 he collaborated with longtime friend Noizu on the rave-tinged anthem "Push To Start," which quickly rocketed to peak positions on the tech house and overall chart.

And while he continues to climb the charts, he's also been a faithful steward of the producer community leading the Kick and Bass network, where he shares his vast production knowledge with several hundred budding producers. 

Beyond his production prowess, Westend crisscrosses the country, regularly performing at festivals and clubs from EDC and CRSSD to Shambhala and The Brooklyn Mirage. In 2023 he made his first forays onto the international scene with gigs in Liverpool and a coveted slot on Insomniac's kineticFIELD at EDC Mexico.

Westend's creativity is constantly expanding. His plans for the coming year include launching his label in late 2023 and embarking on his first solo headline tour. His remarkable journey from throwing micro-raves for New York high schoolers to headlining festival stages exemplifies how the DIY spirit of dance music continues to permeate the culture.
