DJ DAVID LOW MUSIC MATTERS 

David Low is a DJ from Kuala Lumpur. David has been spinning for more than 10 years beginning in the underground clubs of KL when he was 19. His incredible ability to read and captivate a crowd is demonstrated time and time again.
 
At the 2007 New Year’s eve party at Orange Club KL, David Low had the whole crowd 1500 guests dancing with “hands in the air” long before the countdown to the New Year had started. Each time David Low steps into the DJ booth his devoted ability to make the crowd happy on the dance floor is exposed. He has an incredible ability to captivate and energise a crowd using a diverse musical landscape to guide partygoers through the peaks and valleys of progressive house, tribal, electro and handbag. David creates music artistry at its very best. His spin ability is uncanny and he has played with great success at many of Malaysia’s pre-eminent nightclubs and events including Orange Club, Warehouse Club, Maison, Frangipani, La Queen, Oblique Club and Liquid. David was resident DJ at Liquid for 2005 and La Queen for 2007.
 
David has opening for a number of world leading DJs such as DJ Kate Monroe (AUS), DJ Murray Hood (AUS), DJ Louis T (KL), DJ Princess Ann (KL), DJ Sawa (Japan), DJ Sito (Spain), DJ Spectrum K (BKK), DJ Tye (USA), DJ Victor Cheng (Taiwan) and more.. 

Having taken some time out from the active music scene to recharge and refresh his music stiles, David moved in Sydney, Australia in July 2012 and wasted no time in making an impact on the local DJ seen. David has just come off being a finalist at Stonewall Hotel’s “Search for a DJ Star” competition on August 2012, where 30 entrants pitted their DJ skills against one another until only the top 4 remained. David was then voted crowd favourite from the competition. This has resulted in regular gigs at Stonewall Hotel. David tried hard again not to give up and eventually he succeeds what he want in music Industry and also the WINNER of Sydney Gay & Lesbian DJ SPIN OFF COMP 2015.

His innovative sound has made him a sought-after remixer for top artists and labels. At the height of covid in  2020, BK’s remix for Major Lazer (Diplo) feat. Marcus Mumford’s “Lay Your Head On Me” was selected as part of the official remix package. Additionally, his official remixes of Dave Aude feat. Olivia Newton-John & Chloe Lattanzi’s “You Have To Believe” (2016) and Ariana Grande’s “God Is A Woman” (2018) both reached the No. 1 spot on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Play. 

ADVOCATING FOR SOCIAL CHANGE

Beyond the decks, BK is a proud LGBTQ+ advocate and a leading voice for equality in Asia. A dedicated ambassador for Singapore’s Pink Dot Pride event, he has been featured in The New York Times, Reuters, The Washington Post, and Bloomberg News for his activism. His historic challenge to repeal Singapore’s S377A law, which criminalized gay sex, helped pave the way for its overturn in 2022—a landmark moment in LGBTQ+ rights. 

From performing on the world’s biggest stages to championing social change, BK continues to push boundaries—both in music and beyond.
