DJ Nasty, Digitek, 313 Bass Mechanics - these were his aliases in the 90’s when he was part of a movement from Detroit that established ghettotech as a DJ-style as well as an electronic music genre. In 2015 he re-entered the game as Detroit’s Filthiest and in 2017 he collaborated with Sinistarr on Yo Speakerz (DICA004), which was supported by DJ Shadow and Doc Scott alike. His Honor Among Thieves EP in 2018 (DICA008) unearthed another hit with Funky Sperm (900K plays). In summer 2021 he contributed to the Defrostatica Records various artists compilation Hybrid Hooks with the hip-hop jungle crossover "Throwback".

This fall he returns to the label with four no-frills uptempo tracks that fuse electro, ghettotech and jungle as only Detroit's Filthiest can.

Since being made aware of @Catartsis and Ōtone's @ygam imprint a few years back, we've been dipping into their catalogue every time we've felt the desire to listen to intelligent techno and experimental music. After something of a hiatus over the pandemic, the label is back in business, with Catartsis helming a solo EP entitled 'Acier Leste'.

Kicking off our new white label series is Brighton-via-Bristol producer @Syzuk. Drawing on a diverse range of touchpoints from across the spectrum of UK club music, this trio of dancefloor destroyers encompass precision-engineered soundsystem techno, mutant 2-step and West Country bass.

Wrapping things up, Pressure Dome founder @Yushh returns to Control Freak with her own flip of title track Bunzunkunzun, bringing down the BPM for a menacing rework that’s punctuated by her signature wonky rhythms.
