On 21st September the rising French DJ/producer Simo Cell presents new mini album ‘YES.DJ’ – his first solo record since 2018 – released on his own label TEMƎT. A celebration of dance music culture, each of these heavy-duty, titanium-plated bangers are a tribute to different styles of beats, reinterpreted and suffused with his distinct personality.

The release also comes with a fanzine, which continues the celebration of DJing and dancefloors from a sideways perspective, curating photos taken by Simo of drinks tokens from clubs around the world.

Lost Knowledge launches into action instantly with the high-pressure drum science and dubby splashes of ‘Drunken Bells’, capturing the loopy techno propulsion and rolling intensity that drives so much of the output on Samurai Music. Where The Untouchables excel is in finding variety and nuance in their relatively forbidding, pared down sound.  

Nothing happens by accident or feels out of place — McGill and Steyns are in total control, and they demonstrate incredible range and inventive approaches within their focused style. The accent of the grooves shifts, and individual sounds carry all kinds of artefacts, yet everything gets folded into the exacting Untouchables sound with a liberal dubwise sensibility. Ghetto Traxx was founded by best friends who grew tired of the increasing elitism and gatekeeping they faced year after year while paying their dues in the scene. They strive for inclusivity, diversity, and bringing back the old school sound. No bullshit here, just pure bangers for a “level 99999” rave night, with real heads from all walks of life.

The eclectic Frankfurt based DJ & producer, LUZ1E, most known for her soulful NY house sound has made a name for herself in the realms of fast paced breaks and techno. Having released on Lobster Theremin with a hard hitting electro EP  last year and her highly successful, stompy 90's house vibe UGONGETIT release in 2017, she steps up to the challenge and delivers a heavy electro banger for Ghetto Traxx.  Luz1e's 'Sonic Measurements' is a wild ride, so get ready to rave.
