In continuation of our 7 year celebrations we’ve tried to gather as many producers we know as possible from all over Asia to contribute to our latest compilation. In true More Rice style, from Deep, Dub Minimal to Techo House, to Techno, Electro to Trance you name it, we have it all. As a label More Rice has mainly focused on artists from Asia, and this compilation is no different, its to show how diverse and eclectic the Asian scene is at the moment, with many different sounds coming out of different cities and countries. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this compilation, it’s a special one!

7. Xiaolin - BOBA

Oslo based house pushers Badabing Diskos enter the world of vinyl with an allstar family affair in 2025. After decades of cementing themselves as an integral part of the Norwegian scene they continue their quest for presenting feel good energy. The inaugural EP spans across three innovative cuts from, Jarle Brathen, Vinny Villbass and label regular, Sommerfeldt. Each of the tracks telling their own late night tales, melding genres as they move. 

Opening track “No Restaurants” by Jarle Brathen is an explosive launch into the EP, spiralling synths continue to simmer and swirl as the track evolves. A killer bass arrangement strikes heavy, using pensive vocals to expand on the trip. Vinny Villbass showcases beautiful textures with his input “Just In Time”, punchy drum patterns combined with dreamy and ethereal pads which create a distinct atmosphere which will be circulating dancefloors in the coming months. Sommerfeldt closes out the EP with pure dance floor frenzy. Peak time action from the flourishing producer, rave tinged movements as the oscillating, and winding groove continues to transcend. A track for the gear shifting moments on the dance floor. 

The tastemakers amongst us will enjoy wrapping their keen ears around this essential package. Badabing diskos showcasing what can be expected from them in the coming years, as they reach an exciting point of their journey, spreading positive vibes through house music, keeping the nostalgia at its heartbeat but moving forward with modern influences.
