DXPE is a 25 y/o Spanish DJ and producer, and is a member of local Spanish collective - ”Save The Rave”. His musical journey started when he was 14, experimenting with various influences such as hardcore and early hardstyle. After diving into different genres, nowadays his inspiration and focus lies within techno and it’s harder elements - specifically the sounds of the ‘90s and 00’s. 

DXPE's tracks have already received support from artists like Parfait, Otta, 9999999, VCL, Metaraph and many more! His vision for “The Soulseeker” was to mix up some of his favourite styles: industrial, gabber and hard trance. Enjoy!

Kickdrums slam through restless organic rhythm in 'Sit Back', distorted synths crashing onto its groove while acidic techno stabs rear their head throughout.

The title track then submerges, serpentine 303s venturing through its aquatic pads and deep, dubbed-out hits, a nostalgic vocal beckoning to the surface.

The Groove Room consists of Jack and Jordan, two impassioned techno producers honing their take on percussive techno from their Manchester studio: an excellent blend of retro sampling, tribal grooves and modern sound design. 'Apheck's Groove' on n_o's fledgling Manual Smiles imprint is a true statement of intent from the duo, showcasing their vision in a gritty, funky and playful form.

‘... is serving’ no. 5 delivers an eclectic three-track Ballroom blowout. Merging throbbing techno rumbles with frenzied Latin undercurrents, Jaymie Silk’s ‘For the People’ unleashes an idiosyncratic bouquet of percussive Fast House alongside a stripped Techno rendition by Bogota’s Confidential Recipe.
‘For the People’ is a track built for the night’s energetic apex: Cycling through crushing bars of stripped rumble and frenetic Djembe lines, Jaymie encapsulates the feverish energies of his Ballroom background in a percussion-driven anthem centred around a soulful vocal burning with desire.

Confidential Recipe’s technoid rendition strips ‘For the People’ to its pulsing core. A morphing layer of metallic resonance and compact drums channel the original’s exuberance into an eerily vibrating and brutally efficient big-room weapon.

Merging mangled Techno drums with Samba-inspired whistles and woodwinds, ‘Feel that Ass’ unfolds a raw and unapologetic firestorm of Latin percussion, scorching drum work, and seductive vocal chops.

Both DJs have graced our booth with their high-energy sets in the past – now, Jaymie Silk and Confidential Recipe return to deliver a genre-defying vision of unbounded physicality. A fierce embodiment of undiluted Ballroom energy is served.

Monnom Black will mark its 17th release with its first various artist compilation presented on triple vinyl. Keeping with the label’s modus operandi, the compilation is packed with iconic, raw and uncompromising techno, featuring 13 artists new and old to the imprint, including a re-release of a classic Drax aka Thomas P. Heckmann track from 1993.

To coincide with the launch of the compilation, Monnom Black will hold its first highly-anticipated label party. Locking arms with the notorious underground Dutch promoters Reaktor, known for their challenging events and pushing the boundaries of what techno has to offer. Together they will celebrate with an electronic onslaught on New Year’s Eve in Amsterdam’s Elementstraat Warehouse. A location cut to the bone that perfectly encapsulates the label and promoters combined vision and ethos.

Dax J curates the night fusing the label together for a special moment in time, with the titan warehouse opening up two of its rooms hosting a monster line up with the likes of CJ Bolland, Regis as CUB, Thomas P. Heckmann, I Hate Models, UVB, Stranger, Zanias, Cressida, Inhalt Der Nacht, Raffaele Attanasio, Tommy Holohan and Remco Beekwilder.
