In 2005, Marinx discovered, the culture of hip-hop & Rnb Musique ! He's amazed in front of one of its disciplines : DJ-ing ... and that's the beginning for him ! 
He starts to live and breath hip hop and DJ-ing ... And his perseverance paid as Dj Marinx was born !

In 2009, Marinx becomes one of the resident DJ's @ Sim's Disco Bar in Belgium together with Dj KiLL G And Dj G-Ci

In 2012 Banan-As Party is the name of his new challenge, in collaboration with Dj KiLL G & Dj G-Ci ... monthly urban chic parties at Atomic Arena, Charleroi.

Today In 2019 Marinx shares DJ and MC experiences and marks the totality of his fabulous mixes urban & clubbing music, ....

DJ Dysfunkshunal is without a doubt one of the greatest turntablists Belgium has ever known. His unique style of blending old & new school Hip-Hop, R&B, Trap, Twerk, Dancehall, Reggae, Soul & Funk while incorporating his outstanding turntablist skills is what distinguishes him from most other DJ‟s.
As a member of the Killa Tactics crew he travelled across the globe, entering DJ competitions in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Paris, London & Amsterdam. DJ Dysfunkshunal managed to win the Belgian ITF & DMC battle 5 times, holds the ITF Benelux 2000 Champ title and owns 2 vice-worldchampion titles: needless to say that he paid his dues in the international DJ battle scene.
Nowadays, you can find him at the biggest events & festivals such as Fire Is Gold, Lokerse Feesten, Laundry Day, Urbanice (Sportpaleis), Club MTV, TMF Stressfactor and at clubs like Bloody Louis, Mirano, Versuz, Ancienne Belgique, Het Depot & Trix. He allready provided support acts for international superstars like Nas, DMX, Eve, Raekwon (Wu Tang), Lil' Wayne, De La Soul, Rahzel [The Roots], The Furious Five, Public Enemy, Xzibit, Guru [Gangstarr], Grandmaster Flash, Capone-n-Noreaga, GZA/Genius [Wu-Tang Clan], Method Man & Redman, Soprano, Kery James, Sexion D’Assaut, Immortal Technique, Kid Ink & many others.
Besides rocking clubs & parties, DJ Dysfunkshunal currently tours with different artists as their backing DJ. He performs on the regular in different countries with US artist Chip-Fu (Fu-Schickens, New York) & Belgium based artists Akro (Starflam), Safi (Eigen Makelij) & Darrell Cole (Empire). Working with all these different artists led to one of the biggest achievements in his career. In 2017 he was the official european tour DJ of Hip-Hop legend KRS-One, rocking shows in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Paris, Berlin, Gotheborg & even Dysfunkshunal’s hometown, Leuven.
DJ Dysfunkshunal’s talent didn’t stay unnoticed by the local media, which led to several appearances on national TV shows such as “Cool Sweat” (TMF) / “Facts” (TMF) / “411” (JIM) / “Going Out” (JIM) / “Het Journaal” (EEN) / “Studio Ket” (Canvas) / “Villa Vanthilt” (EEN), “Fetes De La Musique concert” (RTBF La Deux) / “MNM Start To DJ” (OP12) / “The Big Live” (JIM) / "DJ Maniacs" (JIM).
His mixing skills were also noticed by promotors in other countries and continents. This led to performances in New York City, Capetown & Oudtshoorn (South Africa), China, Japan, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switserland, Kosovo & Croatia.
Like many other DJ’s, Dysfunkshunal also made the logical transition from DJ to music producer. The video for the track “Coupe Le Verbe En Deux” featuring Akro & Leki reached over 200 000 streams, and was in high rotation on TMF, JimTV & MCM. He also produced & laced scratches for artists like Chip-Fu (USA), Jesse Al Malik (Furious 5, USA), Agallah Don Bishop (Dipset, USA), Bokoesam (NL), Sem Phi & Mel Ross (BE), Juz Kiddin (BE), Bringhim Backalive (BE), Kleine Ben & King B (BE) & many more.
After more than 20 years in the game, DJ Dysfunkshunal is still hungry for more. For the years to come he’ll definitely be a major player in the multiple aspects of the hip-hop game... The champ is here... to stay

We know Senegal for its hospitality, democracy , the  » Senegalese Terenga « , but also and evermore for its sound ambassador DJ R.A.K.I.M .

 

Since 2003 , the year where Rakim gave his professional debut , he is cruising all over Senegal where especially the youth adore him .

It is actually a radio show the youngster used to listen to which paved the way to Rakim´s glorious future as DJ/ VJ/ Radio Personality .   » Soxna Fm  » to be precise , hosted by a certain Carl Rogers ( Rakim´s mentor afterwards) . Fascinated by

Rogers´skills , Rakim knew instantly he wants to become a radio host more than anything else.

 

He launches his own show  » No way out  » with a huge popularity in Senegal and abroad . That´s when the first collaborations & request came in . In 2005 , he finally organizes his first party ( a huge success ) and raises from  » Rakim  » to  » DJ Rakim  » . He brings a fresh touch, his touch, to the entertainment’s world. He´s actually the only person, who marries two cultures in his mixes: the American culture and the Senegalese culture. From 50 cent to Mbaye ièye Faye, from Hip hop – dirty South to mbalax, Rakim is the one who dares to push the button to his limit, and those of his big brothers. On the radio, microphone champ innovates and the audience wants more..

 

DJ Rakim works closely with top Senegalese artists , entertaining them and their guests at cultural events & private parties . The buzz is made, Rakim is trending

everywhere . That´s how he ends up headlining exclusive events at high ranked clubs ( Sénat night club, Le Mandigo, Le K Club, Le Tropic Night Club in Dakar ), corporate events ( Nokia, Caseeworld, Satrec Vitalait , Televison 2s TV )   as well as A-list artists concert opening . Everybody wants RAKIM .

 

After Dakar´s conquete , Rakim expands his activities all over the country ,

leaving no one indifferent . He aspires to inspire and is very close to his audience.

Wether it´s via social medias ( Facebook / Twitter ) , live streams  or radio , DJ Rakim engages you in his journey .

He even stars in a soap called  » Dakar Style  » as lead character , portraying all kinds of youth problems .

Particularely connected to the young generation , he not only divers them but also educates them .

 

October 2008 Rakim decides to face Europe . He settles down in Belgium, Brussels where he works hard for his first residency at Duke´s Club , a famed spot of the capital . Other demands from spots like Le You, La Bodéga, Le Coeur à Coeur, Le Kanadou, le Nexx, Urban Café, l’Ecume, Le Déjà Vu, Le Be Café, etc… quickly follow . And the Senegalese diaspora in Belgium requests him too for their events.

 

Today Rakim´s plans go further . He does not limit himself to his achievements .
