I always joke that this mix was my mating call (my wife thinks that’s gross), but hey—it worked! Back in 2011, I was deep into hip-hop & R&B and the future wave of upcoming talent. This mixtape blends 2011's future with the legends, featuring early mixtape tracks from Frank Ocean, the Big 3 (Drake, Kendrick, J. Cole), Janelle Monáe, peak Kanye, Rick Ross, Jay Z, Nujabes, Pharcyde, Tribe, Slum Village, and even some of my own edits and collabs. Anyway, my wife insisted I re-release it for Valentine’s Day—so here it is! Hope you enjoy the vibes, whether you're chilling or reminiscing. It still feels timeless to me and I'm still proud of this one! Hope you like it too.
