GRDN. makes his return on Manual Deep after last years Bommern EP. His productions are always very exciting and free of any genre limitations which you'll find out here when listening to his lovely new EP titled 'Neuwerk'.

We kick things off with the title track, a lovely leftfield piece of dancefloor electronica. Mysterious and lush, this captivates from beginning until the end.

'Straelen' is a proper continuation of the journey with it's catchy vocal hook, techno beats, warm bassline and delicate sounds. Truly a unique and stand out track this one.

Then we welcome Manual Deep resident artist B.A.X. with not one, but two remixes! A deep melodic house version of 'Straelen' and a beatless reinterpretation of 'Neuwerk'- both in his by now famous trademark sound.

To finish the release in style we welcome a new name on board the label. GRIFE are a duo from Brazil who you might know from their releases on TRYBESof and Mango Alley-or of course their song 'Nighthawks' with Sarah Chilanti- a well received free download on Manual Music's Soundcloud channel. They bring the summer to your doorstep with their organic house rework.

D.J. MacIntyre's SLC-6 Music opens the month of October by presenting the seventeenth edition of their SIX:Stage-X compilation series. Now running for close to a half-decade, the beloved various artists showcase continues to search the globe for the freshest new talent that the electronic underground has to offer, oftentimes featuring a cohesive blend of progressive and melodic techno styles. The collection's halfway point is marked by the label debut of Dennis Addams with his latest studio creation 'Melodic Square'. With over thirty years of DJ experience, the Belgian artist delivers a slice of timeless techno featuring mesmerizing arps, nostalgic chord stabs and a symphonic lead of the mood lifting variety. Selection five finds SLC-6 stalwart Headkube returning to the label following a remix of Runik's 'The Edge of the World' from earlier this year. 'Firefly' marks his eleventh appearance on the label and lands in impressive fashion with its retro-trance appeal. The release concludes with rising talent Checo Cotela who presents his second ever released production entitled 'Becle'. Dee Montero is a lifer. He’s the former Mambo Ibiza resident who at the end of 2017 received Pete Tong’s Essential Tune Of The Year on BBC Radio One for the string-fuelled, epic end-of-nighter ‘Halcyon’, originally released on Solomun’s acclaimed Diynamic imprint. And he’s been busy ever since with various eps including ‘Pangaea’ on Knee Deep In Sound, ‘Shadows’ on All Day I Dream and also the scintillating ‘In The Wild’ and ‘Headspace’ featuring Meliha on Anjunadeep.

From Asia to America and everywhere in between it’s all been about the music for Dee. Performances in Australia, India and Dubai have been interspersed with US tours and appearances at Burning Man on the Robot Heart and Carl Cox Playground stages as well as summer shows in Ibiza including Hï with Joris Voorn and Nic Fanciulli.

In 2020 Dee launched his own imprint Futurescope bringing in fellow musical alchemists Patrice Baumel, Fort Romeau and Lauer for remix duties. He unleashed his diverse 12 track artist album ‘Artifacts’ to the world in 2022 playing to those deft melodic touches, twinkling synths and positive peaks. ‘Maya’, the standout track from the LP and a homage to Future Sound Of London’s ‘Papua New Guinea’ got a special rework from mastermind Rodriguez Jr. pushing the release to even bigger, higher heights. 

As well as forthcoming eps on Nora En Pure’s Purified label later this year Dee’s next single ‘Freedom’ on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound will continue the upward electronic pressure into summer 2023. These are exciting times for an artist with Dee’s attention to detail and there are so many sonic terrains still left to discover…
