Shaunna Heckman is an American singer, songwriter and producer based in Duluth, MN. Her sound combines keyboards, synths, electronic beats, and an array of vocal effects that create rhythmic soundscapes and unique atmospheric tones. Her 2016 EP 'Spotlight', recorded at The Terrarium studio in Minneapolis, MN, led her to her first international vocal feature with electronic producer Yppah released in early 2020. Her most recent single 'Cradle the Sound' was co-produced with I Am Snow Angel, released in August 2021.  Shaunna has also developed the Duluth chapter of ‘Beats By Girlz’, teaching music production to girls and trans/non-binary youth and is currently pursuing her degree in Music Production & Music Business at Berklee College of Music. She is working on her next album with hopes of an early 2022 release, while continuing to seek out additional collaboration opportunities.

Sadkin
Under the flickering lights of the darkened odeum is where you will find the moody New Romantic acolytes, Sadkin; alternative/art-pop from Duluth, Minnesota.

Fronted by producer and multi-instrumentalist songwriter Max Mileski, who composes and records under the name Sadkin at his studio, the House of Tarot, the creative mission blooms and something new is arriving. Joined live and in the studio by Anton Jimenez Kloeckl (synthesizer), Cory Coffman (drums), Nicholas Hanson (guitars) and Daniel Vopal (bass) and having scored #1 chart positions on a number of college radio stations across the states, Sadkin has been feverishly preparing the proper follow-up to 2017’s ‘élan vital.’ What was once and for a long while a private endeavor has etched its way into the bedrock of the Duluth, Minnesota music scene and now beyond.

Marked by infectious melodies, carefully layered musical backdrops, and reflective and sometimes cryptic lyrics, Sadkin mirrors Max’s life-long love affair with music from his youth: New Wave/New Romantic. After all, the nom de plume, Sadkin, is a reverential nod to late music producer Alex Sadkin, who helmed so many of Max’s favorite albums (Duran Duran, Talking Heads, Grace Jones).

élan vital | Reimagination
2017 marked a significant year for Sadkin: After many untold moons of crafting his songs and performing all of the instruments on what would become élan vital, the debut album was finally released.

Quickly capturing the attention of Duluth’s underground music scene in addition to local radio stations and alternative press, reception of the album was enthusiastic and edifying.

Not content to sit idle and having suddenly sparked new relationships with new musicians & peers, Sadkin released a companion album, Reimagination, consisting of remixes carved from other regal musicians and producers. A national radio campaign was the final push to this release solidifying broader national attention and the fundamental premise ~ sit up and be aware, Sadkin’s Carrera is coming.

Carrera | 2019
Paired with their first video, on June 14th 2019, Sadkin releases the first single, Carrera, the title track from the forthcoming album due late summer of 2019. A fiercely tempoed race of a song whisking you away on a veiled mystery complete with a sweeping chorus certain to paint itself to memory. Singles, Wish, featuring guest drummer Michael Bland (Prince/Soul Asylum/Chaka Khan) and Oubliette are sure to follow in the wake of the album’s release. Rehearsals are underway with live performances booked into late summer 2019, as the new recording makes its final turn towards the finish line.
