Coming from the small town of Cwmbran, Brython has been quickly  making a name for himself on the dj circuit in South Wales. Since playing his first gig in August 2021 he’s gone from strength to strength picking up experience playing at various clubs across South Wales such as blind tiger, platform 11, koolers and the garw. With a love for all things house and techno the futures sure looking bright for this dj.

Alex B, formerly known as “DJ Brownsie’ started his musical journey from an early age growing up with soulful roots from the likes of Dionne Warrick, progressing into his love for 80’s Soul. His introduction to mixing started at a time when Technics’s were using a dial pitch, over 20 years ago and his intensive knowledge and love of dance music grew from his initiation to Hardcore in ‘92.

His technical experience in production came from working in a live 24 track recording studio, having worked with a diversity of music genres, including indie and rock he also gained valuable experience working with live bands, live instruments and understanding the art of QBass. It wasn’t long before Alex B understood not only how to play a good tune but also how to make one. In 1993, along with good friend Lady Spirit Alex B, was introduced to Jungle. Loving the DnB sound and the complexity of the beats it wasn’t long before he had a resident show on ‘Chyrstal FM’ along with Skibadee, Diamond White, DJungle & Lipton. His DnB network quickly grew and the inspiration to take his art of mixing to a professional level was inspired by Ash-A-Tack & Dr S Gachet and over the next few years he studied the industry. It was long before Alex B, was playing at large events such as Gas Club, Stocks & Marquee in Central London.

In 2002, Alex was introduced to House & Garage and as the love for DnB/ Jungle grew he was attracted to a more vocal sound, which complimented his soulful roots, he soon found his way back into the studio and had his first vinyl release ‘In Da Hood’ on ‘SO Grove Recordings’. As the UK Garage industry grew so did Alex B and his most recent passion and love of Deep Tech has now lead Alex B, into an industry he feels is home. Not only does he have residencies in London’s West End venues such a Storm in Leicester Square but also industry lead events such as Drop Zone. In 2010 Alex B joined management company ‘WCM’ and his career has performance has gone from strength to strength, not only is Alex B at the heart of a fast growing industry but is also renowned for his talent in ‘Old Skool Soul” performances.
