Suddenly from around them the booming, enlarged voice of Sherikov thundered, magnified by rows of wall speakers along the corridor. Reinhart halted, glancing around. “Reinhart! You haven’t got a chance. You’ll never get back to the surface. Throw down your guns and give up. You’re surrounded on all sides. You’re a mile, under the surface.” Reinhart threw himself into motion, pushing into billowing clouds of particles drifting along the corridor. “Are you sure, Sherikov?” he grunted. Sherikov laughed, his harsh, metallic peals rolling in waves against Reinhart’s eardrums. “I don’t want to have to kill you, Commissioner. You’re vital to the war: I’m sorry you found out about the variable man. I admit we overlooked the Centauran espionage as a factor in this. But now that you know about him—” Suddenly Sherikov’s voice broke off. A deep rumble had shaken the floor, a lapping vibration  that shuddered through the corridor. Reinhart sagged with relief. He peered through the clouds of debris, making out the figures on his watch. Right on time. Not a second late. The first of the hydrogen missiles, launched from the Council buildings on the other side of the world, were beginning to arrive. The attack had begun. At exactly six o’clock Joseph Dixon, standing on the surface four miles from the entrance tunnel, gave the sign to the waiting units. The first job was to break down Sherikov’s defense screens. The missiles had to penetrate without interference. At Dixon’s signal a fleet of thirty Security ships dived from a height of ten miles, swooping above the mountains, directly over the underground laboratories. Within five minutes the defense screens had been smashed, and all the tower projectors leveled flat. Now the mountains were virtually unprotected.

In late 2020 Biodub had the honour of being invited by Native Instruments to provide his track "No Tumble Down" for the Metapop Remix Competition. During a single month the Metapop community created a stunning 180! remixes of the original. 
With so many remixes in different genres, it was a rewarding challenge to dive into the nuances and choose the ones that transcended the challenge. For the release, seven of these interpretations have been carefully chosen for two compilations that celebrate the diversity of deep electronic music.

Perpetual Present is one of the musical aliases of UK DJ/Producer Neil Gray. Although initially rooted in the Breaks scene, you can expect deviations into multiple genres, adopting a wild style philosophy to both music and life in general. His sound is characterized by big basslines, chunky beats and psychedelic-tinged melodies & FX, fusing together a fiendish cocktail of influences to entertain the dancefloor and beyond. Beginning his musical journey as a guitarist and then drummer in the late 90’s, he became gradually more drawn to the huge sounds of fusion acts like the Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers and Pendulum. After completing a degree in Electronics & Music Technology from the University of York in 2005 and then moving to Manchester, Neil co-founded the underground breaks label Acidphonic Records. Early releases gained a lot of interest from big players in the scene and 2009 single ‘Girls & Devices’ charted at no 1 for several weeks on Trackitdown.net. Over the next 10 years PP continued to hone his sound and play gigs and festivals across the UK, regularly releasing on some of the best independent labels in the scene. After self-releasing an album called ‘All Imaginary’ in early 2019, a new home was found with Diesel Recordings, whose wild style attitude perfectly matched the same artistic vision. With 2020 bringing the opportunity to spend more time working on original tracks you can expect to hear many more exciting things to come as the Perpetual Present sound and discography continues to expand and grow…

Later in the day we learned that the man who was killed was named Vicente Girones, and came from near Tafalla. The next day in the paper we read that he was twenty-eight years old, and had a farm, a wife, and two children. He had continued to come to the fiesta each year after he was married. The next day his wife came in from Tafalla to be with the body, and the day after there was a service in the chapel of San Fermin, and the coffin was carried to the railway-station by members of the dancing and drinking society of Tafalla. The drums marched ahead, and there was music on the fifes, and behind the men who carried the coffin walked the wife and two children.. . . Behind them marched all the members of the dancing and drinking societies of Pamplona, Estella, Tafalla, and Sanguesa who could stay over for the funeral. The coffin was loaded into the baggage-car of the train, and the widow and the two children rode, sitting, all three together, in an open third-class railwaycarriage. The train started with a jerk, and then ran smoothly, going down grade around the edge of the plateau and out into the fields of grain that blew in the wind on the plain on the way to Tafalla.
