The seventh chapter is upon us.
 
For this latest story in sound, Sam Pauli and long-time collaborator Reiver draw on a blend of holy and unholy influences to bring us a new and heady mix.
 
Taking inspiration from a 16th Century a cappella choral piece, Aspice is a perfect summer track. Carried by choirs, a dreamy pad and an entrancing house groove we find ourselves transported: looking to the heavens, taking flight across azure skies. Uplifted, we skirt the edges of the divine...
 
Next up, Olivier Weiter (Armada/Sudbeat/Parquet) offers up his own take on things. For his first release on Chapter 24, Weiter maintains the original’s vocal sample while adding new hooks and interweaving complex and compelling textures into a tense and uplifting piece.
 
Where the original Aspice takes us to the sky, KatrinKa’s Edition is far more grounded, even subterranean. A heads down powerful groove takes hold in a track perfect for the dancefloor. Following a killer drop at the end of the main break, we find ourselves in the seventh circle of the inferno…and it’s never felt so good!

Finally, Chapter 24 co-founder Paul Nolan picks things up for his Look To The Universe Edition. With a relentless and entrancing groove allied to rolling bass guitar licks, the track unfolds into something of an epic, never once dragging despite its thirteen minutes. Cosmic and melancholic, this truly is music to make you feel connected with the universe.

With almost 30 years of releasing records under his belt, Dino Lenny has naturally built an incredible back catalogue of productions, remixes and collaborations. 

He’s worked with some of the biggest names in the business, yet his own productiaons retain a distinct, personal style that is all his own. 

With Camouflaged, Lenny drops polished, groovy dance music that will light up many floors this year. 

The original version rides a solid motorik beat, allowing for moody piano elements and a haunting vocal to take the track to another level. 

Lenny’s sense for drama and space is preserved on the Black and White mix, but with a straighter house groove aimed firmly at the late night dancers. 

Hafendisko regular Brynjolfur also adds his own interpretation of Camouflaged - a driving electronic workout with a filthy, mutating bassline and dramatic pads.

Exclusive Trading Places ft. The Golden Filter 'Submission (Moscoman Remix)'

Newly founded project Trading Places, consisting of long time friends and affiliates Moscoman, Max Pask and New Yorker Justin Strauss, is readying their first EP, 'Submission', on Throne of Blood this week. For the title track the trio teamed up with legendary artist duo The Golden Filter, who add their distinctive breathy and haunting vocals to the track supporting the general dark vibe of it. Disco Halal-founder and one third of Trading Places Moscoman took on remix duties for the EP's eponymous track and created a more than mental take of the track, whose changing synth chords push the cut's tension up over the course of its duration. As soon as Penelope's voice sets in 'Submission' is on its way to reach an ultimate darkly twisted climax that is supported by doubled beats and chords, both adding a vibe to the track one finds in sweaty underground clubs only. If this is the place to trade then any (electronic) music enthusiast should be in.

Trading Places' EP 'Submission' will be released on Thrones of Blood on November 22nd, 2019.

'Illusory and YAME are the latest artists to contribute to the Disco Halal Singles Club, releasing tracks ‘Oblivion’ and ‘To The Sea’ respectively on Friday 5th June.

First up, 19 year old Serbian producer Illusory also known as Jovan Vucetic debuts ‘Oblivion’, with the emerging artist crafting his eclectic sound combining melodic techno and smooth indie synth lines. The emerging artist is no stranger to the electronic music scene, having performed at local festivals in Serbia including Guy Gerber’s EXIT Festival imprint.

Electronic duo YAME compiled of Alexandr Seletsky and Victor Kiriyakidi have released their debut track ‘To The Sea’. A dreamy cosmic, funky electro beat which oozes elements of dance music legends Kraftwerk, the budding duo channel their own modern twist with euphoric vibes.

A digital service that will focus on exciting new artists, the Disco Halal Singles Club sees Moscoman continuing to utilise his global brand as a way of promoting new talent. With an extensive back-catalogue with wide-ranging genres that span from the Middle-East to Europe, the Disco Halal frontman has selected music from the likes of Goom Gum, Postig, 8Kays, Pongo, Vlad Jet and Affkt.
Based in Berlin, but firmly rooted in the diverse and forward-facing musical scene of Tel Aviv, Disco Halal label hails from beneath the minarets of the Holy Land.
