Hot Creations deliver their first artist album of the year with the Parisien luminary Popof's, 'Love Somebody'.

Jamie Jones & Lee Foss' Hot Creations imprint has successfully straddled the gap between underground house & techno and more crossover vocal led disco-infused dance music since it was launched in 2010.  The fourth artist album to be released on the label, Alexandre Paounov AKA Popof's long player elevates the chic beats and smooth rolling melodies of house music to new heights, opening the world to fresh palatable tastes through tracks such as 'Your Eyes' and 'Lidl Girl'.

Maintaining a grasp on the dancefloor, tracks like 'Pack n Rollin' and 'Going Back' strike back to Popof's roots as a former member of the free-party underground collective ‘Heretik System’ in Paris. While ‘Words Gone’ has already found great favour through remix treatment from Luciano, Marc Houle and Jamie Jones and the second single ‘Going Back’ features remixes from Eats Everything, Lee Foss, Oxia & Miss Kittin and Luca Donzelli & Mar T.

Sublimely captivating and with the right balance of emotion, 'Love Somebody' is a statement of intention for an artist with a heavy artillery of experience, ready to fire in new directions. I have the last of the remixes of Romanthony's "Too Long" for you, something that will hopefully warm your heart and soul in these winter months. Why? Because we have none other than the mighty DETROIT SWINDLE on production duties. 

If anyone could take this timeless song and give it a special twist it was the Swindle. They do not disappoint. Warm moogs and spacey keys make up the funk-fuelled backing, strings soar around Roman’s gorgeous tones and all the while their tight rhythm section keeps the groove bang on. It is - in the words of my many Glaswegian friends - a BELTURRRRRRR.

Roman's style was always raw and underground and to show our respect for that I've asked Christian Nielsen - one of the finest exponents of that style today to give us his version. If you've been playing any of his recent releases on Play It Down, you'll know what to expect, solid house beats and a funky bassline deliver the groove and Roman does the rest. Bumpin' stuff. 

Lastly, for those who missed it on our Amsterdam compilation, I've included the brilliantly acidic Nice7 version in the pack.

Hailing from one of the biggest electronic music hubs of the world, Amsterdam local Bram Fidder is a bright young DJ and producer who is already making big moves on the global circuit. Since 2011 he has been laying down memorable DJ sets at esteemed clubs like Studio 80 in Amsterdam and has also headlined the likes of Mysterland and Welcome To The Future, sharing the stage with the likes of Joris Voorn, Dubfire, Nic Fanciulli and 2000 and One.
 
His considered productions and carefully sequenced sets off a well-balanced, diverse yet very danceable sound, with a strong tech-house drive and always surpassing little elements that keep listeners on their toes. His new single ‘Get Out’ is no exception. With remnants of early 90’s house vibes, laden with a bass-heavy beat, the track is sure to keep dance floors filled at all hours of the night.

Miami based duo Steve Sanx and Rico from Paris are Wolf Story, the next act up on Get Physical Music.

Between them this pair has a rich heritage that dates back to the nineties and takes in running labels like Goldentears and Bimini Records and DJing with Popof. Together they have shaken the walls of clubs all over Europe as well as festivals like Movement. They starred on the Defected Ibiza 2018 Compilation and have had props from Kevin Saunderson, so are a well-established duo always making moves.

The gorgeous ‘Heart Love’ is suitably emotive, with dancing drums and glowing keys, soaring synths and expressive, dreamy vocals all uplifting your soul. The pianos are played with real feeling, and the string stabs only enrich things further to make this the sort of lush, open air house track to get hands in the air and the love flowing.

The second superb offering is ‘Between The World And Me’, which is just as impressively musical but on a more downbeat and introspective tip. Again fleshed out with beautiful chords and keys, bird calls and deeper drums play off while you wallow in the midst of this most heart-warming track.

Wolf Story really conjure up some magic here, on this latest gem from Get Physical Music.
