this is always something really special, because it's about great food, delicious wine and great music i never play in a club.
this selection is 90% vinyl....some rare stuff from the 50s, 60s,70s...lot of 7"s, lot of stuff i found in small record shops in south africa, egypt or somewhere else in the world.
i really love to play stuff like this from time to time and i hope you enjoy it as much as i do.
this is not a mix!
and this is only 4 from 5 or 6 hours, then the battery of my recorder died ;)

Welcome to the third mix that we will share in this already magical year of 2018. Out of all the artists that we have ever met, Luis is one of my personal favourites. 

The relationship between an artist and promoter is sometimes challenging. As soon as we work with an artist we try to support them in every way possible. They have become our family. And that is what we do. It was SUPER difficult in the beginning to find the perfect balance between that support and booking artists new to The Gardens. 

Luis is going to premier inside The Gardens in 2018, EVEN THOUGH he had his eye on the vision & vibe of The Gardens as soon as it started. He would send me music on a monthly basis. Beautiful, gripping, EXTRAORDINARY music. 

Now... The pieces have fell into the puzzle.

His mix is simply divine. See this as the introduction of an artist that you will experience often this year.

what a crazy beautiful night and what an amazing crowd i played for right after Mira.
unfortunately the batteries died so we could only record the first 2 hours, but this gig was so special for me that i wanted to share at least these 2 hours <3

Knowing the musical thunder that awaited in the coming days, my hope was to continue the festive spirit set by Professor Newton’s sunset salsa magic earlier in the evening. It was a pleasure to play these happy tunes among all the top class music played at our camp.

We certainly felt the energy during our Sol Selectas showcase, and the 5 days that followed, taking in the sunshine and positive vibes  this sacred land provides, to those who stop to be present, and listen. SCARECROW in 3D - Listen only with HEADPHONES, as this is a binaural mix - it won't sound as intended on normal speakers. 
During covid I teamed up with Polygon (immersive 3D sound stage at WonderFruit Festival Thailand) and started working on the idea of translating their vision of the live 3D sound we’ve done previously, into an binaural headphone mix for the individual listener. 

This is our first attempt with immersive sound for headphones and I feel that there is a lot more potential to explore. We chose an old track for this first one, but have another track in the pipeline specifically made for this, if there is an interest for it.
