Born from experiences with Balinese Culture and it's ethos, Warung serves as a profound inspiration for the sound and project of Aaron Hopkins and Dillon Ames. Both Aaron and Dillon decided to set aside their solo endeavours to cultivate something rich together, aiming to create an organic music identity. Warung are back releasing on SHÈN with their latest offering 'Angel'. 

'Angel' came about from countless hours of listening to alternative dance and electronica from the 1990s, an era dominated by those sounds. Primarily inspired by trip-hop and dub, the track dives into the raw emotion of the genre and brings it to the forefront of peak dance music culture. 'Angel' was created as a clear global reflection of a time filled with optimism but also uncertainty, capturing the essence of a message that pierces into the listener’s soul. Dark and brooding in its nature, it is a perfect amalgamation of everything that was heard and everything that inspired the pairing.

Whistleblower, the label started by Alan Fitzpatrick, Rhymos and Reset Robot, is set to release their first EP from outside the trio.

That artist, B.K.R., who has previously released on Drumcode, Moon Harbour Recordings, Hot Creations and his own B.K.R. Projekt, is a secretive alias for a well-known British artist, but that's about all we can say (except that artist has released on Kompakt, Leftroom, 20/20 Vision, and Last Night On Earth).

Here, B.K.R. delivers a three tracker, 'Fandango' EP, of which we exclusively premiere the Reset Robot remix of its title track. Centred around the original's vocal, this remix includes new pads and a more spacious mix. Adding a DJ friendly intro to match the rolling grove of the bass line this toughened rework refines the originals dancefloor appeal and the added pads coupled with held chords give the track a new depth and mood.
