Marco Biagini, the creative force behind Kellerkind, takes on an astral approach in his EP Cosmic Dancer, which includes four original tracks and one rework.

The title track kicks off proceedings in a skillfully dynamic manner. Fueling up a lively atmosphere from the first bars, the melody takes shape with the help of tribal infused percussion. A soothing vocal adds to the mix, layering up to a highly strained peak point with a highly anticipated release.

'Take Me Down' offers a bassline-heavy soundscape, with chopped up vocals and an array of undulating synths. Unveiling element by element seems to be Kellerkinds speciality, as he whips up compelling constructions that unfold gradually. 

On 'Metropolis' the instrumental takes a backseat, leaving centre stage to a wailing female vocal. Mysterious yet gripping, the voice adds slabs of depth, instilled as well by the artists use of glitchy effects to articulate the tune. 

'Conjunct' dives into the same ambience as the title track, consolidating the overall celestial mood. The piercing vocal highs and rumbling lows of the drum lead combine to a nostalgic yet inspiriting effect. 

Newcomer Felipe Puertes spins 'Cosmic Dance' into a stripped down, percussion-heavy alternative to the original. Lightly treading vocal chops lend the track a deeper side, while subtle bass gives more energy to an otherwise rapid pacing track.

 ‘How Can The Sky Be So Beautiful When We Have Been So Bad? Remixes’ is the 2nd in a sequence of remix EPs flowing from the Russian Linesman’s remarkable series of 7-track EPs throughout 2017, titled ‘The Eysenck Suites I-IV’. The original concept was to explore the psychological theories of Hans Eysenck and the emotions that they encompass – a project that the British Psychological Society endorsed.

This ambitious new 2018 remix project features a carefully selected array of highly talented visionaries, giving them the opportunity to interpret the Russian Linesman’s musical adventures. The tracks selected for treatment are some of the ‘The Eysenck Suites I-IV’ finest moments.
 
‘How Can The Sky Be So Beautiful When We Have Been So Bad?’ is taken from ‘Part I’, which focused on Eysenck’s Melancholic temperament, and created a soundtrack for times of sorrow, reminiscence, regret, and also moments of withdrawal from over thinking everything, reducing anxiety, reflecting and triggering memory traces of happier times. Remixes come from Somfay, Magic Panda, Aiden, Avus, Matthys, Betamax Warriors and the Russian Linesman himself. Sleeve art by Azenoire.

Gab Rhome is back on All Day I Dream with, believe it or not, his very first solo release. 
We first encountered our bowtie wearing friend via his collaboration with Maher Daniel way back in the label's catalogue. 
He dropped by again last summer as one of the tracks on our annual Summer Sampler release with “Venus“. 
It rocked the Beatport Deep House chart for months. Continuing in that vein we find two wonky fun summery house tunes with rolling grooves, tinkling pianos, glassy sounds and memorable melodies…which is fun to say by the way...go on, say it.

Leading Canadian imprint My Favorite Robot welcome Speaking Minds back to the family for a third time, two years after the Italian’s previous EP on the label. Here he links with Amarcord, while Man Power and Boot & Tax step up with remixes.
Speaking Minds has a slick tech, funk and dub heavy house sound that has seen his music get plays from big names like Dixon and Mano Le Tough. He has released on the likes of AEON and Music Autonomica and is now part of the global DJ circuit, playing all the key clubs and festivals.
‘Mermaid’s Chant’ is the fine first offering here. It’s a tense track with lots of great synths stepping up and down the scales. Sci-fi chords and slapping hits bring more energy and the whole thing will get the club in raptures with its real sense of dynamism. The excellent ‘Circe’ is another intense and fulsome track with bright, reflective and arresting synths filling the airwaves as forceful techno drums pound away below. It’s a peak time tune that really explodes with emotion and colour.  A brilliantly trippy and transcendental Rave Mix of ‘Mermaid’s Chant’ is also included. It's more stripped back, with rolling snares bringing tension and celestial voices floating way up to the skies to make for some serious spine tingling next to the wonky acid line.
First to remix is current hot property Man Power. The Me Me Me label boss comes off the back of a huge charity compilation ‘We We We’ and is known for his expressive and twisted sounds on labels like ESP Institute, Futureboogie and Correspondant. His version of ‘Mermaid’s Chant’ has a heavy bassline bringing brooding vibes, while pixelated keys twinkle up top to cosmic effect.  Last but not least, Italian pair and Optimo Trax associates Boot & Tax bring their rugged disco grooves to another innovative remix. Corrugated bass, kaleidoscopic keys and a sense of building tension all make it a standout version.
This is another artful and thoughtful package of original club sounds from the My Favorite Robot label.

Acid Pauli (@acidpauli) and Nico Stojan’s (@nicostojan) Ouïe label acts as home for left-of-centre music from disparate sources - somehow connected by a thread of hedonism with a melancholic edge. Welcoming Kerala Dust (@keraladust) to the imprint, this four tracker showcases the different dance floor shades the label always reaches.

Kerala Dust are a London based trio that owe as much to Tom Waits as they do to Four Tet or DJ Koze, but somehow tread a fascinating line between genres and moods. Mixing jazz, indie and the sharper end of the club sound, Francesca’s Frames is the perfect introduction to their vibe.

'Maria' is augmented with a thick, mid tempo kick and sparse, effective percussion. The clever vocals provide the topping - showcasing the band’s pop writing prowess. The track will appear as a single release on 6th April accompanied by a music video.

Acid Pauli and Nico Stojan’s remix picks up the pace a little, while dubbing out the elements into deep, late night dance exploration.

'Nyla' brings a new vibe, deep, pulsing synths and a bubbling baseline accompany the crisp, compressed rhythm track before Ed’s iconic croon arrives to take the track to a new level.

'Wires' balances occasional piano chords, horns, blips and beeps with a nicely understated tech house groove. The seemingly disparate elements combine to create a vibe that will go over big with the parties and dance floors within the ever-expanding Ouïe ecosystem.

Monkey Safari’s third album comes in perfect time for the summer sunshine. The duo follow up their last LP, ‘Odyssey’, with this warm, inviting collection of music designed to brighten your day and complement the glorious sunny days that bless us during the summer.

Sven and Lars learned some valuable lessons from their last long-player, and the new album ‘HI’ comes from a far more relaxed, easy-going place. An organic project that came together quite naturally, their third album sees the duo in high spirits ready to bring a large dose of positive vibes and emotional depth to the party.

Kicking off with ‘Sturm’, we’re immediately immersed in a world of wistful vocals, haunting pads and emotive synth lines. This is music made to move your body and your soul. As an introduction to the album it’s ideal, providing a great juxtaposition between brooding melancholy and uplifting vibes.

Next up is ‘Parallel Lines’, a sombre yet inspiring cut that takes us deep into Monkey Safari’s world. The folk-esque vocals ride the instrumental, which stirs your emotions giving the listener chills up and down their spine. ‘Shangri La’ is a slow burner that wouldn’t feel out of place on the Playa at Burning Man. The sultry cut builds into a crescendo of emotive sounds with a break in proceedings leading into a spine-tingling drop.

Title track ‘HI’ truly embodies the sound of the album. One of those tunes that will resonate with audiences all over the world, the universal feeling of joy it transmits has already been lifting dance floors at festivals and clubs across the world as Sven and Lars have been roadtesting it in their sets for some time now.

‘Breed’ follows next, with a more downtempo pace allowing space for contemplation. The carefully programmed beats and chimes set a calm tone, encouraging a myriad of thoughts and feelings to rise to the surface. This one builds into cacophony of strings and keys, all delicately aligned to keep the atmosphere meditative. Next is ‘Red’, a more pulsating, insistent cut with a surefire dance floor vibe. Techno fans will be relishing this cut with its hypnotic riff and scintillating pad work.

‘New Day’ lives up to its title, evoking the feeling of those twilight hours when you’re leaving a club at dawn and the day is just beginning to get started. Monkey Safari slowly unveil the brighter side of this cut, in the same way the sun can creep up from the horizon to share its warm glow. ‘Shelter’ brings more emotional depth, with a mournful motif supporting the vocal clip. This one grows into a spinetingling affair with a breakdown that uses new wave-esque synth lines to really get you pumped with energy.

The penultimate track ‘Walls’ utilises a silky vocal once again to take us into a joyous zone. This is the kind of track that encourages you to get close to a loved one, share an intimate embrace and close your eyes as the vibrations take you to another dimension. Slow, seductive and soulful in equal measure.

Finally, ‘Love To Exist’ closes the album. A love-filled song produced with passion by the duo, who leave the listener on a high with this final cut. Kick back and soak up the warm vibes, listen to the words and fill your heart with love.

With Lars about to welcome his first child, the duo are clearly full of goodwill, optimism and good vibrations and ‘HI’ is reflective of this positive headspace. Click play, ease into the soulful selection and let the album lift your spirits...

Fabled duo VIKTOR TALKING MACHINE offers the next Monaberry release. Their track LINE briefly brushes the club with a colorful groove, catchy claps, and sweaty breaks. Intense synth chords merge with hypnotic ethno-vocals into a rich track with a rousing vibe. Italo Brutalo injects line with a shot of 80s House, thus creating a fluorescend remix for the hottest hours at the club.
JOKO moves straight to the dancefloor, mesmerizing all senses with a fairytale arrangement, goosebumpy melodies, and a warm synth line. The vocals embrace body and mind while the breaks invite us to a long endorphine rush. Lauer pumps up his remix with a mighty groove, additional synths, and a tender touch of House.

Freeride Millenium head to St Petersburg and the Delicate Features duo for another excellent EP that follows previous great outings on the label.

This pair is made up of singer Radmila Nikogosian and composer Pavel Astvatsaturian and they have consistently put out music that grabs the imagination. Labels like Not Not Fun as well as Freeride Millenium have released their sounds and ensured the pair grow ever more prominent in the scene with their superbly emotional music that draws on ambient, abstract and downtempo.

Opening up the EP is ‘Brume’, a widescreen ambient masterpiece that has fluttering keys and gorgeous pads extending off to the horizon. The majestic ‘Because I Want To’ introduces gentle drums but the focal point again is the exquisite melody, deft keys and angelic vocals that bring heavenly feel.

The halfway point is marked by the super slow and heavy drums of ‘Nude’, a spacious dub cut with ambient beauty soothing your soul, then ‘Pulkovo Lights’ is an eight-minute journey into bumpy rhythms that feature more fantastic synth craft and grand composition. This most delightful of musical trips closes with the stunning melancholy of ‘Way Home’ which has vulnerable keys and acoustic guitars drifting in space.

This is timeless music that is beautifully crafted and is utterly absorbing from start to finish.
