As the winter solstice approaches and the fool’s journey comes to a close, Chapter 24 marks its first two years of releases with a 24th EP. This symbolic offering is a vinyl-only package from Masaya, with an Edition by her close friend and frequent b2b DJ partner Ripperton.

Masaya’s entire life is music and this really shines through across the four cuts served up by the Swiss-Chilean artist. As boss of her own label Mina Records, she is a real underground star who has been responsible for numerous great releases over the last ten years.

'Borderline' kicks things off and is nine minutes of spine-tingling deep house music with haunting vocals and wispy autumnal synths. Subtle and seductive, it is a killer opener to the EP. 'Picture' is then just as emotive and spiritual, with tender string sweeps and rolling rubbery beats mixed in with warm finger clicks to make for a hugely atmospheric house groove. The final original is 'Flow of Tears', which is again cavernous and deep, its sombre chords draped over gentle drums with whispered vocals that really mark it out as an evocative listen.

Ripperton is the long time deep house star from Switzerland who runs his own Tamed Musiq and has a fine discography, releasing on the likes of Innervisions, Maeve and more. His version of 'Flow of Tears' captures the sound of futuristic house and techno in 2016. It is more direct and driven, with corrugated drums and loose limbed percussion lulling you into his autumnal groove.

This is a fantastic EP from some of Switzerland’s finest, a fitting 24th Chapter offering four stories in sound.

Released on Monday 5th December.

Release Info: 
Feemarx has had a 10-year career DJ-ing and producing, playing to the most engaged people in Northeast Brazil/Recife electronic scene.

His roots are planted in Techno and Deep-house, and he plays at festivals including D-edge Records Showcase and on the infamous Warung tour, and he is the Co-founder of this fine music label Not Another Music.

'Dusted' is a percussive filthy workout, with plenty of energy and drive, crazy cool fx and noises add to the mix, before an infectious arpeggiator takes the track up again. Just when you think you've peaked the big riff lands taking this track in to peak time crwod mayhem causing territories!

Danny Oliveira steps up on remix duties, utilising the power and punch from the original, tweaking the parts and adding some serious energy, whilst lacing melodious overtones to this tasty workout!

'Gramame' is a dirty slab of melodic dance floor action, for those peak time moments. Here we f ind warmth meeting darkness, and certainly packing a bit of a punch here, backed with bouts of low end for added oomph!

Morttagua is on remix duties next, and we are treated to a rounded melodic peak time techno re-touch. Big and bold and will do the business big time!

Club-focussed heaters are only a part of musical development. Sometimes you need to catch also the strings and melodies of a certain moment. From silence to wild nature noises, from sunshine to deep and dark winter mood. You are coming home with a melody in your head and you find peace in some hard and techy sounds coming in and bringing movement for your blood. Diverse like life, thats Mononoid's first longplayer. 

"Elf" is the first track creating a spacious atmosphere were you can loose yourself in, but still keeps you on the right track. "Anna" is intense and wide open, without loosing the trippy character. "Monorus" is full of magic with it's hard switch and it's spacey flair.A walk through an unreal world brings the track "Parks and Gardens" - a blues guiding you to a place in between where the clouds open up. 

With our dear friend Beatamines the dutch duo created "Yotta" which is a very techy track for the late night in the club. "Take steps" will bring you home finally with a bag full of new ideas and sounds. Enjoy this beautiful trip and don't get lost on the way - how the guys described it together with Amy White.

Manual Music label boss Paul Hazendonk delivers some proper ear candy that reminds us of something Dixon or Ame might play straight away.

Berlin based Juliane Wolf has already released some special music on Manual Music and their sublabels. She's rapidly building up her name in the techno capital of the world. Her remix is a catchy melodic groover which we like a lot. Warm and subtle but with 10 tons of groove this one is sure to please.. 

Finally, label residents Pion and Pacco & Rudy B both stepped in once again with their more peak time approaches so we are quite sure you'll find something to like here.
