Rebūke joins the Drumcode family with a blistering three-track EP.

We got our first taste of the Irishman’s exhilarating talents when he debuted on Truesoul back in April with ’50 First Raves’. His unique alchemy of house, techno and rave has seen him become one of the breakout stars of 2019 and ensured he’s stayed firmly on the radar of Adam Beyer.

Inspired by his experiences at Drumcode’s now-legendary party at Space Miami during WMC, Rebūke’s DC debut encompasses all the dynamic energy of his previous contributions, with peak-time pounding effect. ‘Rattle’ leads the trio, a cut voraciously track I.D’d by Rebūke’s fanbase and highly anticipated across the industry after a high-impact play during Radio 1’s Weekender in Ibiza. The track pops with the producer’s trademark rubbery rhythms, pin-sharp drums, intermittent rave horns and a wicked acid line, culminating in a high-octane trip that’s one of the most thrilling we’ve heard on DC this year. ‘Operator’ spits fierce drum sequences before a tweaked-out bass melody grows with undulating intensity giving the track it’s shining character. ‘Metal’ builds with intergalactic stabs and claps before a menacing low-end melody enters the fore and his signature percussion gives the track an otherworldly tribal crunch.

A further release smashes again like a distorted bass drum. The "Perpetual" EP produced by Arpow comes with two originals. Arpow incorporates small textures into each track, which are not always noticeable at first hearing, but give the tracks a high degree of liveliness. Especially in "Perpetual" this vibrancy is clearly evident. The track changes several times over its entire length and becomes deeper and intenser. "Neuron Circuit" is the more melodic version of a techno track that always funtions at any time. From the beginning it goes strongly forward, drives, ties up and moves the legs. The hi-hats in combination with the very tight bassline as well as the synth elements give the final touch to the track. Dancefloor weapons!

This gem tells us a story about returning to the roots of innocence and towards our Mother Nature which gives us life. The music begins with an engaging melody guiding our ears through a vibey atmosphere, in which rhythmic elements are progressively presented until we reach a small break, giving us the feeling that something extraordinary will happen, then when our guiding melody suddenly disappears and the classic piano takes over our horizon, a male voice appears from far, slowly mesmerizing us, meanwhile, organic percussions and sweet notes carry us to the climax of our experience: the warm touch of a rolling arpeggiator with oscillating cutoff associated with high-speed drums in a way that makes us dreaming! From there, the elements gradually dissolve, until at last our guiding melody reappears and accompanies us until the next journey.

The EP also includes the track "Phoenix", a more deep and pleasant landscape, with brilliant synths and a memorable female vocal. Along with the above, their French talented friend, JACME, drops in with a stunning remix on the leader track "Time to change" which brings a more soft and deep touch to it, very futuristic synths with a blissful break. The remix was categorized by us as a truly outer space oasis.

The second release in Poker Flat’s remix competition, celebrating 20 years of the label. This time, we get three stellar versions of Tim Engelhardt’s First Contact, which has been making waves since it first dropped in March of this year.

First up is the Okayshades Remix, brought to you by Robin Brink from Cape Town, South Africa. Brink’s signature sound is a mix of house, techno and down-tempo, and here he finds an elegant balance between firing up a dancefloor and making a thoughtful, emotional rework.

Next up is the Jacme remix, courtesy of Christophe Robert from Toulouse, France. Jacme started creating his own music in 2001, and has recently been collaborating with the likes of Connaisseur Recordings, AEON, Suah, and Outer Space Oasis. His rework is a classy, synth heavy refix, with a driving, restless vibe.

Next up Maxie König brings her considerable talents to the table with a sublime remix. Hailing from the Rhine-Neckar region, Maxie got her first residency at the age of 18, and had gone on from strength to strength since then. Her rework is a moody, deep version with elegant touches - sure to do the damage on the floor.

The official release features the best 3 mixes while 7 more are exclusively released on Poker Flat's bandcamp page featuring remixes from Mario Bianco from Naples (Italy) who already released an arrway of EPs on labels like roundans, Uncover, Sunclock, Elements, Tom Liar aka Thomas Sever from Leiden (Netherlands) who just released an EP on Songspire, Alex Hövelmann from Cologne (Germany) who has already a string of EPs to his name, most recently on Fenestra and is involved in events and festivals like the Garden Eden Festival in Aachen, Nawed Khan aka Browncoat from Mumbai (India) who already released on Submerge, Click, Od One Out and more, Oliver Quinian aka Mentat from London, UK who already released tracks and remixes with Traum Schallplatten or Amber, Leandro Silva from Luanda (Angola) now living in Portugal who makes his debut as Denker here and already a bunch of EPs including a coop with Mr. V and finally the Miami native producer Kamadev who's latest EP dropped on Mirror Walk.
