For our first release of the new year, we have "Noire" by Pigsie! As you can tell we've really been enjoying the sounds from these 2 over the past year and their take on Deep House. That said, Noire was a track we were eager to pick up. The track includes their signature sounds of layered ambience, warm pads, textures and melodies. From the start, it gets going with a catchy layered bass line consisting of a synth hit and some low end for a solid bounce to the track. It's a fantastic unique deep tune, and we're happy to have it be the kick off to the new year.

To accompany this one, we thought we would have a remix done by someone we're big fans of, and who's sound would compliment the original. After reaching out to him on the project, we were really excited to hear that Jazzuelle was interested to take on the task and work with us. His remix of Noire follows the release of his latest album "ENIGMA", which we highly suggest, out now on We Go Deep.

For those that aren't familiar with Jazzuelle -

"There is an inherent rebellion against complacency and prescribed expectation in Jazzuelle’s approach to making music has led him to opening the first ever Sonar Festival in Johannesburg in South Africa to playing the official Sonar Festival in Barcelona, to advancing to career defining appearances at Beatports Wet Deck Annual Party in Barcelona at W Hotel alongside Nakadia, Claptone and Noir of which during that same night also played the Get Physical Music showcase at OFF SONAR at City Hall in Barcelona with the likes of M.A.N.D.Y, DJ T, Andhim, Bedouin and more. The Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp Alumni has worked he’s way from humble beginnings in Cape Town to being one of the most biggest and respected artists in Johannesburg and South Africa at large. with a myriad of releases as early as 2010, Jazzuelle has been one of the most consistent producers coming from South africa which consequently led him on signing on big powerhouse labels like Get Physical Music in BerlinSouth Africa's Thando Tshoma made he’s anticipated album debut on June 16 in 2017 featuring the likes of Fred Everything, Lars Behrenroth, Da Capo, Matthias Vogt and more on Get Physical Music, which previously championed artists like Booka Shade, M.A.N.D.Y, DJ T and more, the album was also picked up by legendary South African Powerhouse House label, House Afrika for Physical CD distribution. preceding this, Jazzuelle has been steadily releasing music on labels like Atjazz Record Company, Foliage Records, Lazy Days Recordings, Phat Elephant Recordings internationally. he also has remixed legendary acts like WHOMADEWHO and the Acid House Originator and legend, DJ Pierre. With a diverse range of inspirations including Brian Eno, J Dilla,, Johan Johannson, Steve Reich and The Cinematic Ocherstra, he’s music immediately garnered attention for its maturity coupled with an uncanny ability to create a feeling that transcends dancefloors and quite often, expectations..."

Gilles Peterson-endorsed Bristolian, Typesun, makes his next chess move following on from a queue of primo productions over the last few years. "The PL", which featured the softly softly croons of an anonymous vocalist, was an undisputed 2013 jewel.
