Each raga is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "color the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience and this journey (raga).

This week's raga comes from the omnipresent @medazizbenameur who comes from Tunis, Tunisia. This dude is everywhere, his work resonates on all my favourite channels and I am so glad to finally have him on mine. 
One of the most hardworking DJs I have come across recently. Med's mixes are just as genuine as he is. Working with someone like him is always interesting, very particular about how things go on, almost a perfectionist. He also runs a promotion page called Listen to ROFD . Thankyou soooo much for spreading the love bro.

Born in Milan Italy with Iranian heritage, Ali started music when he was 14 years old playing afro cuban percussions. Growing up in Italy, electronic music is ingrained into the culture and has had great influence on the evolution of his productions.

In 2011, he moved to LA and shifted away from European-tech to more sophisticated sounds with experimental grooves and slower beats inspired by his origins.

After moving to the US and being away from music for few years, he started producing and djing again and most recently opened the Santa Monica based label Pipe & Pochet with Patrik Khach. His goal is to inspire other artists and fans through music and has now began to showcase his productions in the US and beyond.

There are a lot to say about Tulay German, like how beautiful voice she has, or how she's been an influence to many artists that came after her performing Anatolian pop songs. And for me Tulay is one of the most important singers Turkey has ever had. There were many times that her songs gave me so powerful emotions that helped me see things in different, and better perspective.

In this song, I tried combining 2 of her songs, Burcak Tarlasi (1964) and Dogrul Kocum Dogrul (1960~) and used my imagination to give it my own approach with some touch of four on the floor drums and synths.

Our 7th Krabcast features an hour of hypnotic house and minimal flavours from young gun Mehlor.  Hailing from Doncaster (UK), Chris aka. Mehlor fell in love with the underground music scene during his studies in Leeds. Whilst there, he has developed his production skills which has lead to releases on Modula Records, Kina Music and his resident local label Syntaxx Records. Mehlor's sound is defined by swinging rhythms and deep atmospheric tones, choosing simplicity over sophistication.
