Zone+ (Zeyad Mohsen) & Usif (Yousif Sanad) Dj's/ Producers from Bahrain. Both realized they have a common language "music" , after opening b2b for many well know artist, they decided to work together forming Zone+ & Usif. They released an Ep "Nomad" on Akumandra and 2 singles "Nubira" & "Sitar" with Talavera records.

In June they will have an EP coming out on Underyourskin Records featuring remixes by Canson & Monolink.

Hailing from Siberia - Russia, our guest Boris a.k.a. @zOnkh is living near the rift Lake Baikal, the largest freshwater lake by volume in the world, an archaeologically unique and emerging area of hunter-gatherer research. He's also behind the 'Baikal Nomads' community which is fighting against the destruction of habitat, the deforestation and the industrial expansion on the region. Then, every summer they're camping and inviting people to clean Baikal shores and forests, organizing a place where people can eat vegan food, practice yoga and clean the wonderful Baikal.

Beyond his activism, zOnkh is a downtempo enthusiast, digging its calmness and versatility, which is purely reflected in his heartning selection in our 131th edition. Inspired by the time when Nature begins to come alive after hibernation in the sacred place and using a lot of background sounds (as a forest at night, a river, a bird), this Russian is showing off sympathy, wholeheartedness and so so much love. Enjoy!

'There is nothing more precious for a person than a mother and a homeland. Pictures from childhood come to life when we think about the forest, the lake, the river, the meadow, the village - that are dear to our heart. All the places where we spent the best and most innocent years of our life. This spring was marked by the ceremonial spirit. Sacred plants and molecules are creating a new approach to reality. More and more the songs, dictated gently by the medicines, are heard by humanity, and transmitted through multiple channels. This set is made up of producers who have emphasized different sacred and traditional songs of multiple tribes: Kashinawa, Hune Kui, Saeki, Orixas, Kanaka Maoli, Uyghur, Bulgars and Sioux, among others. The objective never ceases to be dancing, but rising towards an intention, liberating consciousness, inviting perfection.

Electribal 9 - Summer Shamānic Mix 2019

A few months ago we were contacted by the head of Vice China who had discovered Shika Shika and our artists and loved the music. After much back and forth they today premiered an exclusive mixtape alongside an interview with us (you can see it here, in Mandarin: http://noisey.vice.cn/read/new-voice-of-electronic-and-world-music-from-shika-shika)

This has been surprising and amazing -  testament to the globality and interconnectedness of today's music scene. Through this we are in touch with some Chinese producers and are exploring the possibility of touring in China.
