Inside the cardamom capsule are the seeds, that give it its characteristic taste; mainly volatile oils that taste a bit like eucalyptus. When put in coffee, they create ever-changing oily textures on it’s surface. It makes the coffee more digestible and neutralizes the caffeine. It tastes a bit paradox. But eventually the taste becomes something else. A special blend that is neither the one nor the other. 

ele & bīsu’s music goes back to studio sessions fueled by cardamom coffee. It’s preparation has been a steady ritual that accompanied the making of the EP. It is the random seeming details and procedures like this that form artistic processes and inspiration. Some day, they might even become an image for a type of experience greater than the individual memory.

Today our Sensodelic partner is Coordese! Currently living in Kassel, Germany, he is producing his own tracks and diving into the technical world of sounds, besides that, he studies Social Work at the University and contribute to the Music Scene in the city - helping out, playing at events and making their own, with the collective @Dreiradfahrt.  Since the scene there mostly features techno music, They bring more organic slow beats into the mix to reach other soundscapes.
In his words: "The mix was recorded at home with a very good friend of mine (Kiki Kokolores), with whom I started to get more into the Podcast scene. And there is Manucho, a few years ago, an Artist from Buenos Aires in Argentina, who showed us really how beautiful it can be to look at the slower side of electronic music. And yeah, since then I started mixing and collecting downtempo music and really fell in love in a different way with that. Normally I like to do downtempo with a little techno infusion, but I decided that for the Senso family, I wanted to do something more organic and warm with a little touch of psychedelic grooves. I tried to bring some of that Manucho vibe I fell in love with, in the first place! I hope it worked and hope you and the people who will listen to it enjoy. Big love from Germany!"

Hoje nosso parceiro Sensodélico é o Coordese! Atualmente reside em Kassel, na Alemanha, e está produzindo suas próprias faixas enquanto mergulha no mundo dos sons, além disso, estuda Trabalho Social na Universidade e contribui com a cena musical da cidade - ajudando, tocando e fazendo eventos com o coletivo @Dreiradfahrt. Como a cena lá é composta principalmente de techno, eles trazem batidas lentas mais orgânicas alcançando outras paisagens sonoras
Nas palavras dele: A mixagem foi gravada em casa com um grande amigo meu (Kiki Kokolores), com quem comecei a entrar mais na onda do Podcast. Também teve Manucho, alguns anos atrás, um Artista de Buenos Aires na Argentina, que nos mostrou como realmente pode ser lindo olhar para o lado mais lento da música eletrônica. E sim, desde então comecei a mixar e colecionar músicas downtempo e realmente me apaixonei por um diferente caminho. Normalmente eu gosto de fazer sets de downtempo com um pouco de infusão de techno, mas decidi que para a família Senso, eu queria fazer algo mais orgânico e quente com um toque de grooves psicodélicos. Tentei trazer um pouco daquela vibe do Manucho pela qual me apaixonei, pela primeira vez! Espero que tenha funcionado e espero gostem.

Wir freuen uns sehr euch mal wieder eine unserer Lieblingsbekannschaften des Jahres zu präsentieren. Sein Sound ist verträumt und antreibend, genau der Sound den wir in diesen Tagen brauchen - er ist so warm wie seine Worte:

Nostalgische Rückblicke, jetzt wo das Jahr sich wieder zum Ende neigt. Ein Jahr mit viel Tohuwabohu und Ups and Downs - genauso wie Momente, welche mich positiv stimmen, beruhigen, schlicht einfach Spaß machen. Und ich freue mich wie das Alpaca im Bild wenn ich an den Sommer denke, wo die Welt vorübergehend in Teilaspekten wieder normaler lief und Festivals und Partys zu vielen schönen Bekanntschaften führten! So unter anderem auch die 60 Zoll Crew, die mich eigeladen hat etwas in ihre Setreihe rein zu sneaken! So kann ich immerhin einen kleinen Teil zurückgeben, nachdem ihr auf dem Lichtalben Festival dafür gesorgt habt, dass eine großartige Wohlfühl-Oase geschaffen wurde auf welcher ich Tage hätte verbringen können! (Ganz zu schweigen von eurem Auftreten und den schönen Gesprächen vor und hinter der Bar! <3) Danke dafür, Danke für die Einladung und auf ein hoffentlich baldiges Wiedersehen!

Hard to put into words how special that night was.

Last year on Christmas Day was held Inchala Yard, a very special event in my favorite spot in town. Inchala has been the place I felt the most at home at, part thanks to the beautiful environment, but mostly because of its community and care for one another. Inchala Yard was an event for grounding, gathering and celebrating the end of the year together, having the opportunity to play there was a pure blessing. 

The recorded set follows what this event is about, an introspective voyage of slow and deep sounds, helping one make a pause, reflect, hug and cherish loved ones.

I cannot thank enough Samie and the Inchala community for being kind and welcoming hearts. I will feel forever grateful to have crossed path and shared moments like this.

On a dark and windy day in January, Hekske (the little witch) and Falke (the 10-year old witch apprentice) touched down near the edge of a forest, high on the white chalk cliffs of the island Møn, where they met 6 boys. This was quite unusual as witches basically never mingle with humans. The boys appeared to be 6 brothers, with ages ranging from 10 (Falke’s age) to 19 (Hekske’s age). They entered the forest where a narrow path led them to a wooden cabin in a hidden glade, where an old man was living. He introduced himself as Thorbjørn and explained he was about to light his annual winter bonfire. They all sat down in a circle around the crackling fire and felt the pleasant heat. Thorbjørn sang a mysterious old Norse song. Then he revealed his big secret. This was the very first time he told anyone that he was actually a berserker, who had stayed in hibernation mode for over 1000 years. After the Battle of Brunanburh (where he fought for king Æthelstan) he threw his double-sided axe into the North Sea while returning home from Albion, and settled down on the island of Møn to live a peaceful life in the middle of this forest. He became a vegan and never even killed a mosquito. He never ever told anyone about his dark past as a berserker until tonight, the endless winter night. Then Thorbjørn slowly stood up and went to his wooden cabin. A few minutes later, he came out of his hut, only wearing a loincloth and a fur pelt of a large animal as a cape. Hekske’s heart skipped a beat when she realized it was a bear’s skin. It was a fearsome sight. Thorbjørn explained this was his uniform which he wore on the battlefield. Before each battle, the berserkers always danced all night around a bonfire until they reached the ecstatic ‘bersærkergang’, the berserker’s rage during which they lost the fear of death and were ready to take on a complete army. Thorbjørn told it was a very bad kind of energy.
At that moment Falke had a vision. She actually saw the beauty of this raw energy, or at least a somewhat less powerful version of this energy. The 6 boys were very eager to don the bear’s skin and perform the berserker’s dance. Falke pointed at Tore, the oldest of the 6 brothers. He disappeared for a while in the log cabin, and came back only wearing a loincloth and having very cold in the chilling wind. Thorbjørn took off his bear skin and gave it to Tore, who donned it over his head. All of a sudden, Tore didn’t feel the cold anymore. Now he was ready to dance his way to the ‘bersærkergang’. Guided by Falke, he started dancing, but the energy didn’t feel right. Suddenly Falke turned to Thorbjørn and asked him whether he was hiding a weapon inside his cabin. The face of the berserker immediately turned pale and he hesitantly admitted that he had indeed hidden a sword. He went into the cabin and returned with a long glimmering sword. It was a real Ulfberht sword, made from the hardest steel on the world, which could back then only be found in Persia. It was a truly impressive piece of blacksmithing, but it was just unacceptable to keep a weapon on the peaceful island of Møn. Falke took the sword, looked at it for a brief moment, and planted it into the ground. Then something amazing happened. It was as if the earth sucked up the weapon, until it completely disappeared under the ground. Falke knew it would sink deeper and deeper over the next 100 years, all the way to the centre of the earth where it would eventually melt and fuse with the core of mother earth. Suddenly the forest felt very serene and peaceful. Now the 6 boys were ready for the berserker’s ritual…

Nach einer längeren Abstinenz wurden im April diesen Jahres die Hallen der Kulturfabrik Löseke endlich wieder durch die Klänge und Deko der Konception-Crew unter dem Motto "Polarität im Programm" gefüllt. Verteilt auf zwei Floors, dem Gehölz (Buffo) und der Cybercity (Halle), sollte der Kontrast zwischen futuristischer Distopie und der Natur musikalisch und visuell dargestellt werden. 

Mein KataHaifisch-Kompagnon Paleo und ich eröffneten das langersehnte Buffo-Comback an diesem Abend mit einem Mix aus Midtempo, Indie und Leidenschaft. Viel Spaß mit unserem Live-Mitschnitt!

While slowly arriving in real life from the Fusion parallel universe, we are still in the process of realizing that we actually played at the infamous Sonnendeck last week. What an honor! It was just overwhelming and unreal to share our favorite music with such a massive crowd on this beautiful stage. Miraculously, our nervousness disappeared right when we hit the play button and spotted so many familiar faces in the front row, so we got to enjoy those two hours to the fullest. Thanks to everyone who came around on Wednesday evening and to the lovely @3000-grad crew for having us - we will keep this memory in our hearts forever! <3

*We are well aware of the little sound quality issue throughout the penultimate track, which we didn't notice while playing (and being excited as hell hehe). Sorry for that, didn't want to re-record however!

What a journey this set was for me. A journey to love. A tender love, a lustful one. One full of passion and tenderness. One that is addressed to me. One that is a home for all of us. A love that lasts a lifetime, like that of my two wonderful friends as they celebrated their 25 year non-wedding anniversary on the day of the recording. A love that knows no barriers or boundaries, but blows them away effortlessly. A love that defies the storms, is strong and unshakably soft at its core. A love that can forgive, itself and others. A love that grows steadily because it is curious and compassionate. 
And above all, a love that is unconditional. 
May this infinite love rain down on you whenever you need it. May you live in the knowing that this love is within you. May it accompany you, guide you, inspire you. 
You are full of wonder and capable of anything - just the way you are. I forget that very often, as perhaps we all do. Thank you to all those who tirelessly remind me. May we be shelter to each other.

Soooo hier ist der Mitschnitt von meinem Gig auf dem Sonnendeck. 


Die Aufnahme hat leider nicht die beste Quali und hat auch so seine Fehlerchen weil mal bei nem Übergang ans Jogwheel gekommen und dabei außem Rhythmus gekommen, an manchen stellen übersteuert usw blabla....aber ich habe mich dagegen entschieden es zu re-recorden weil es dann nicht genau den Moment wiedergegeben hätte wie er war! 

Warum dann hoch laden? Weil es wie wahrscheinlich von vielen immer nen großer Traum von mir war auf der Fusion zu spielen und ich unglaublich geflashed bin das es dieses Jahr urplötzlich soweit war. Diesen Moment will ich gerne teilen auch wenn er nicht perfekt war! 

Dankeeee an alle Menschen die dabei waren, an die großartigste Artist Care <3 an meinen lieben @coordese für den emotionalen Support und das Mastering und natürlich an @leeni-rhrn für die Einladung und das Vertrauen das der Sound in die frühen Donnerstag Morgenstunden passen würde <3 Ich hab mich super aufgehoben gefühlt bei euch <3 <3 <3

Ach, was für ein unbeschreiblicher Samstagnachmittag das doch war 🤩 Danke an alle Tänzer:innnen, die das Funkloch mit so viel positiver Energie aufgeladen haben! Wir hatten einen riesen Spaß und viele Gänsehaut Momente... die Sonne hat auch mitgeholfen, dass sich diese schönen Erinnerungen für immer ins Gedächtnis eingebrannt haben. Wir wünschen viel Freude beim Zurückspulen und Eintauchen in diese unvergesslichen 3 Stunden. 3...2...1...Bussi 😘

Ein Nachmittag im Funkloch - MiLA 2023

There once was a little witch who was standing under a very tall tree. With her sweet voice she was singing a song for her friend the sloth, who was hanging on a branch near the top of the tree. They had become friends a few years earlier, when she saved his life (witches are the protectors of all animals of the forest, and this starts from a tender age). The little girl had a burning desire to talk to her friend, but that was never possible because the tree was too tall to climb. So this ritual went on for years, day after day.
Meanwhile the young witch was growing taller and stronger and one day she found the courage to start climbing the tree. To her great surprise that went very well and a few minutes later she was already halfway. Then she looked down. Immediately a fear gripped her and her body froze. Her heartbeat was racing and she was too afraid to go up or down. She was completely stuck. Then she looked at her friend the sloth. He smiled and whispered calmly ‘You can do it, girl’.
Instantly, the witch felt the tension disappear from her body. She climbed with the agility of a squirrel all the way to her friend, who gave her a big hug when they were finally reunited. For the rest of the day they stayed together on a branch high up in the canopy of the tree, talking to each other and at other moments just enjoying each other’s company in silence. She had boundless admiration for his endless patience, and he had a deep appreciation for her youthful energy and unconditional love for the forest.
All of a sudden, the branch broke off without warning. Both were plunging down to a certain death. All the little witch could do was scream and clutch the branch with both hands while it fell down. And then something miraculous happened. 
The branch started to float in the air, the sloth still hanging on it and the witch still sitting on it while clutching it firmly with both her hands. The little girl still couldn’t figure out what was happening. Witches actually never learn to fly on a broom. They just know it by instinct, once if they have come of age. The sloth whispered ‘This branch is now your broom. It has chosen you. And from now on, you’re a real witch’…
The witch brought the sloth back to his perch high up in the tree and from that day she would simply fly on her broom to visit her friend every day…

Da ich mich erst vor 2 Jahren auf den Events der @mystic-tales-berlin in Downtempo verliebt habe, war es schon ultra schön zu hören, dass die Mystics uns vom BeYond Kollektiv dabei haben wollten um ihre schöne Insel in Polen in eine zauberhafte Parallelwelt zu verwandeln✨. Dass @thisisrakaethe und ich dann auch noch den Mainfloor für @hhaller einheizen durften war ein einziges Träumchen. Nur schön und unfassbar aufregend die eigenen Lieblingstracks und die ersten eigenen Produktionen auf so einer Anlage zu betanzen.  Und wieviele Lieblingsmenschen mit uns in der Hitze breit grinsend sich wild tanzend in der Musik verloren haben werde ich literally nie vergessen. Wir können die nächsten gemeinsamen Abenteuer kaum abwarten🚀

When dreams come true together... What a festival, what an island, what a crew, what a crowd and what a morning!  Since I fell in love with downtempo only 2 years ago at the Mystics events, it was super special to hear that the Mystics wanted us from the BeYond collective there to turn their beautiful island into a magical parallel world. That @thisisrakaethe  and I were booked to heat up the mainfloor for @hhaller was literally a dream come true. Just beautiful and incredibly exciting to dance to your own favorite tracks and your first own productions on such a sound system.  And I will literally never forget how many of our favorite people lost themselves in the music, smiling brightly and dancing wildly in the heat. We can hardly wait for the next adventures together.
Big big thank you to the @mystic-tales-berlin who made dreams come true for so many people in Poland. Only love to @beyondcollectiveberlin for the dreamlike family trip on this mystical island.
