The thing I love most about Burning Man is no matter how much you think you've prepared, you still never really know what to expect. The uncertainty, the excitement, the apprehension, and sometimes even the fear of what's just around the corner is what keeps so many of us coming back every year with a renewed childlike wonder - a feeling that seems to slip away as we get older. Sometimes everything goes right, and sometimes things just go wrong. 2014 was a mixed bag for me with some high highs (spending time with amazing people, getting to DJ in the best place in the world, seeing some incredible forms of expression) and low lows (namely falling hard on my back off of a see-saw putting me in constant pain for the entire week - it even hurt to laugh!)...but at the end of the day, I got exactly what I bargained for and couldn't ask for anything more: I experienced the unexpected.

In contrast to the previous two years on the bus, this year I played first on Friday night and took a little sonic stroll around different sounds and moods to open the night before Bedouin beautifully escalated the night into proper party mode...Pardon any sloppy mixing, we can just blame that on my aching back :)

Thanks to everyone who was there early in the night to catch my set, and thanks to everyone listening at home, Robot Heart, and Dr Burridge for the continued support over the years...Having the opportunity to do what I do is such a great gift from all of you.

Sali zäme! We’re pleased to announce a phenomenal storyteller from Switzerlands nightlife capital to the Schirmchendrink counter: Temo Sayin shows off his tremendous skills with this tasty Jungle Bird! 

Temo Sayin, head of the Zurich underground movement «Die Empathie», shows, that music doesn't need to be hectic and cluttered to bring people into ecstasy. His deep, open minded organic sounds take you on an unique journey: Melancholic but not sad, sensitive but not cheesy, powerful but not crazy. Sentimental enough to close the eyes and still uplifting to raise the arms.

The Turkish-Dutch started started his DJ career with illegal events in his hometown Zurich, where he quickly gained a recognition for his sensual sets. It was only a matter of time he was invited to play at the most popular clubs across the city. Today, and if you happen to go out in Zurich, it'll be hard not to cross paths with Temo. He has made quite a name for himself and shares the stage with well known artists as Satori, Rampue, Miyagi and many others.

CharlieM from Territorio Slow and Miklosh from Tribu Oro have played several times together, from Playa Padre In Marbella to the Cult Alien Place of The Teteria in Rute Cordoba, and both always had the idea to pull out some tracks in cooperation cause the synergies could be quite interesting. But this project had to wait until the last Festival organized by the Territorio Slow guys called Deep Sense Experience in Iznajar Cordoba, where both performed with their acts right before the TOTAL LOCKDOWN of Spain. Der heutige Podcast ist zweifellos außergewöhnlich und in seiner Beschaffenheit einmalig auf KataHaifisch. Die deutsch-französin Maloua Lou ist für das letzte Set des Jahres 2020 bei uns zu Gast und hat dafür ihre gesamte künstlerische Leidenschaft in die Waagschale geworfen.  Herausgekommen ist eine 71-minütige Downtempo Komposition mit Gesangseinlagen von Maloua selbst. Sie singt in ihrer Muttersprache und mit einem wunderbar ästhetischen Feingefühl. Ihre Stimme verpasst dem Mix einen magischen Rundschliff und lädt uns auf eine mentale Reise in die Weinberge der Provence und auf die idyllischen Sandstrände Korsikas ein. Ein akustischer Ausflug ins grüne und blaue dieser wunderschönen Erde. 

Wir möchten uns für das zurückliegende Jahr bedanken! 
Die vergangenen 12 Monate gingen vorbei wie im Flug und haben sich gleichzeitig gezogen wie ein zäher Kaugummi. Große Veränderungen haben in unser aller Leben Einzug gehalten und einige dieser Entwicklungen wären uns am liebsten erspart geblieben. Hingegen war der Start der KataHaifisch Webseite ein Highlight in 2020. Auf dieser Plattform könnt Ihr auch im kommenden Jahr mit viel qualitativen Output rechnen.
Auf unserer KataHaifisch SoundWolke ging es unerschrocken, kontinuierlich nach vorne. Unzählige Follower, sowie Plays & Co. gesellten sich zu uns. Dazu hat jeder einzelne von Euch etwas beigetragen!
