Even he crated this some jears ago, its a perfect reflection of what is going on these days. With this set David takes us to different places while observing and reflecting in a personal, emotional and sensitive way.


Thank you for listening to this mixtape. I made this little collage years ago already. It’s been sitting there in my laptop and passed the challenge of time as it still resonates in me and I hope it resonates with you as well. I think the idea behind it has to do with the oscillation between dystopia and utopia, as if the two were bound and linked in their existence. Something like that. It’s a bit what I feel today at least while registering to it. I’ve tried to make a sort of puzzle and sonic riddle that leads the listener through these concepts, hoping to bring some hope and beauty even from chaos. It’s a weird object, I hope you like it :)

Mettā Bhavana Meditation

Mettā (Pāli) or Maitrī (Sanskrit) means benevolence, loving-kindness, friendship, goodwill and active interest in others, the first of the four sublime states (Brahmaviharas) of Buddhist virtues and one of the 10 Pāramis in the Theravāda school of Buddhism.

The objective of Mettā meditation is detached love acting on kindness and love.  Starting first with ourselves, followed by our close and loved ones, these are followed by those neutral or unknown people, and then those people who, for some reason, had a bad time or who have hurt us. By doing this, we can come to feel Mettā in a universal way, feeling love and goodwill towards everyone and everything!  Selfless love!  Cultivating in ourselves, self-love and equanimity (a sublime state) towards others!  One way to practice Mettā is to medítate on phrases like "I wish that you experience happiness and be free from suffering."  Someone who has cultivated Mettā will not easily be afraid and will be able to subjugate it by being more loving and more prone to unconditional love.

In these times of violent unrest, widespread unrest and suffering, the need for a practice like mettā-bhāvanā is clear.  So that peace and harmony reign throughout the world.
