Since debuting in 2010, Jacques Greene has become one of house music's foremost romantics.

Well, we say debuted: it's no big secret that Greene produced as Hovatron in his early days, releasing a small handful of singles and building a reputation in Montreal's party scene, DJing at local raves like Turbo Crunk (we'll also forever ride for his remix of Janet Jackson's 'Discipline').

In 2010, he reinvented himself as Jacques Greene, taking the hip-hop and r'n'b influences at the heart of Hovatron and applying them to more straight-forward house structures. The formula worked like a charm, with a first single for Night Slugs followed by a brace of 12"s for long-term friends LuckyMe, including the brilliant 'Another Girl'. Co-signs swiftly came from Radiohead, who asked Greene to contribute to their King of Limbs remix album, and the xx, who took the Canadian on tour.

The years since have seen Greene both hone his sound and his hardware-heavy live show, while also collaborating with vocalists like Tinashe and co-founding the Vase label with manager and Baller's Social founder Joe Coghill (releases have so far come from Koreless, Weeknd producer Zodiac, Gorgeous Children and more). Ahead of a live show at London's Roundhouse this Friday October 31 with support from Koreless and Evian Christ, Greene delivers a long-awaited FACT mix, featuring several of his own unreleased tracks, a speech by Sean 'Diddy' Combs' at Howard University and a visitation from the Trance Lord himself.

FaltyDL's trusty Blueberry label sets sail with catalogue no. BBR008 under his new Tenant moniker, Not for Press. The opening track sets the tone for the entire six-tracker – a dizzying tyranny of factory-line sounds to elevate listeners to a state of raised heart rates and higher consciousness. It's hard to believe that Falty/Tenant is also a part-time librarian... or maybe it actually makes perfect sense. "Remote Lover" remains incredibly melodious, despite its almost entirely percussive texture (until that unannounced synth euphoria at the 3-minute mark). For that reason, its title couldn't be more accurate.

One that must be handled with care, Not for Press drops on 8th April. Approach with caution.

For our 30th podcast we bring you Moteka, a techno dj and producer from Marseille. The last couple of years have been quite prolific for the French artist, with his productions released on Children of tomorrow, Skryptöm and Newrhythmic to name a few. Moteka’s dark and sophisticated sound is becoming more and more unique, with a huge focus on deep atmospheres, raw rhythms and finely detailed structures. In his studio, which can be rather considered as a Techno laboratory, he is constantly pushing forward his sonic experimentations looking for the perfect mixture of mind-bending textures and powerful structures. It includes 3 great original tracks: “Wild” has an incessant rhythm and a bunch of synth layers, techno for melody lovers. “Morning Bliss” is a late night track with big room potential thanks to an epic lead in the middle of the track. “Sundays” is elegant, trippy, proggy electronic music, perfect for the dancefloor. This track has been remixed by James Welsh, an upcoming talent from Leeds, who gives it a touch of emotion and deepness.
