Elad Magdasi joins for DifferentSound Podcast #227.

Elad Magdasi has long been entrenched in the rave scene, first and foremost, as a dancer. It is precisely this edge which can be felt in the emotional fabric he weaves into his productions.

It is his love for raving that keeps his mojo running whilst bringing inspiration to his life.

After moving from Tel Aviv to Berlin in 2013, Elad evolved and ended up founding his own label - Front Left Records. The label is a collective of friends who dance together and celebrate techno weekly. All the releases come from artists who share the front left corner of the dance floor.

Diversity is the key in Elad’s sets, keeping the old and the new combined and making sure you hear some synthesizers.

The DifferentSound Podcast #273 welcomes Habgud! Treading the line between dreamy atmospherics and up-tempo percussive sounds, Habgud is a producer and DJ based in Manchester (UK). The last few years have seen Habgud appear at clubs like The White Hotel, Tresor and Rote Sonne. Aside from DJing he is also known for a multitude of productions released on key UK labels like EarToGround and Clergy. His discography also spills into his own record label B.A.B.E (Burned at Both Ends) which has seen releases that sonically touch all corners of modern techno, each with a slight nod to its original influence. BIO:

Fabrizio Lapiana is a well-known fixture on the contemporary Italian techno scene. His musical career started in his hometown Rome where he began collecting vinyl and DJ’ing in the early 90’s.

After being mainly active on the local scene, Fabrizio in 2008 started producing and founded his own imprint, the well renowned Attic Music. The label quickly expanded from hosting just Fabrizio’s work into also releasing other artists fitting his personal definition of techno. To date Fabrizio has over two handfuls of releases, Attic Music serves as home to some of these, but also other respected labels such as ARTS, Figure Jams and M_Rec Ltd to mention a few. His productions are often dark and hypnotic, yet at times they have brighter melodious elements, with each of these components smoothly entering as the tracks unfold.

However playing records to a live audience is still his favourite element. Fabrizio has honed and perfected his deejaying skills for over two decades, therefore being famous for his immaculate mixing technique. To create the setting he prefers, his sets travel from deeper to harder techno, darker pieces are introduced to more melodic ones and acid or old school gems get updated with new unheard material – these are some of the key ingredients for Fabrizio while creating an intimate journey for the listener.
