Bio:


Aleja Sanchez is a sound artist and DJ born in Colombia, she releases mainly through her own imprint Northallsen Records and is a contributor artist to labels such as Semantica, Bassiani Records, Affin, Informa, among others.
Aleja's sound embrace the realms of hypnotism and explores the fusion between organic soundscapes, experimental, orchestral and acoustic elements, with the powerful load of techno music,revealing a sonic narrative that flows between the mysticism of ancestral cultures and the spiritual power of nature, character translated into her own music production. Currently based in Barcelona, Aleja Sanchez is diving intensively between music production and composition. She has been invited as an artist to perform at venues like Tresor.Berlin (Germany), Stardust(Spain), Razzmatazz (Spain), Perpetum (Czech Republic), Flex (Austria), Sound Department (Italy), Liquid Club (Malta), Dissident (Russia), Khidi (Georgia) among others. In 2019,she was listed by Resident Advisor as one of the greatest international exports of the Colombian techno scene.

There is a natural harmony between the environment here and this style of music. It is something that is difficult to articulate. The ambience lends itself to the hypnotic, organic, profound tones. The landscape mirrors the sheer, rugged, illusive elements of deep techno. The lapping sea emulates the constant, unerring yet unpredictable facets. 

One artist who in our minds captures the very essence of all of this; with consistently top quality releases, classy mixes and a genuine, friendly and approachable character, is Save Your Atoll, who we are thrilled to welcome to the Out Of Focus Podcast.
