Very happy to have Jephta deliver this week’s mix and kickstart 2022. As both organizer and resident of the Embodiment event series, Jephta secures the spirit of a particularly strong movement. Their no-nonsense vision of pure, fierce grooves has been successfully pushed over the last years through eventful celebrations and the rock-solid ‘SALON’ mix series. We will definitely stay patient and look forward to joining one of their next nights at Rotterdam’s Perron when the dust has settled.

Suleyman, aka Suley El Hakeem is a young, Lancaster-based DJ who stepped into the world of techno during his time as a student in London. It was the atmospheric, deep and ultra-hypnotic techno which captivated him instantly, having stumbled across flagship labels such as Semantica, Northern Electronics and Spazio Disponibile. He thus decided to express his musical style of mixing through such labels and has since been working to bring this enigmatic sound to the UK. Quickly setting up his own online radio show, "Hypnozic Psychedelia" - over 2 years he used the show to showcase and develop his style to the online world, gaining support from the likes of Aurora Halal, Sybil, Gigi-FM and more, and these shows can all be listened to at @hypnozicpsych. He defines his style as cold, hypnotic and intimate with an importance on intense, dreary atmospheres.
In recent times Suleyman has dropped the radio show in order to further develop his sound and is planning on bringing it to sound systems in the UK through his collective Hypnozic Psychedelia.

Before getting into electronic music, THNTS was mostly interested in Hardcore, Black- and Doom-metal.
As a record collector and enthusiast he especially appreciated the created atmosphere. Soon he began to find the similarities in atmosphere and sound also in experimental kinds of techno. His DJ-sets resemble this development: sometimes driving, sometimes dreamy, but always telling a tale.
He is also involved in the booking of event series apathy, ESCH and Elements in ://about blank.

He is a composer and performer who explores the movement of sound through an instinctive way; makes field recordings, extracts movement from natural sounds, and then combines these elements into live electronics to create an infinite loop trip. Juan Campos was born in the south of Spain in the mid-eighties.  He began his musical career back in 2002, making the leap to the club scene in his region; vinyl being the predominant medium to play in those years.  His continually evolving mixes span various branches of techno.  Juan is also a very active producer and his productions have been released both digitally and on vinyl.
